Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

ftr - ship anson, old custom house, still & west, bridge tavern, wellington (twice), sally port, dolphin, pembroke & home via one of the more life affirming kebab trips ever. Portsmouth is a great away sesh. The game - 30 minutes of liquid football, then that. Could have been 3-3. That's wh...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

From the drab first half onwards, that had the tedious inevitability of an unloved injury time equaliser that does neither side any good.

Second half we did enough to maybe win, extra time we took all that back.

yeah especially as it's being done with such ineptitude. Have a word with the tedious incel that brought politics into it. No thanks. I couldn’t think of anything worse than having to talk to that loner virgin. https://fod-wp-media-library.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/2021/10/3f54369707ed6e92801488b...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

I like having that record. I like having the 13 wins record. I really liked the old Steve Death goals conceded one, still miss it, truth be told. Old Reading has some gems https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/zgKB7HwlArcBk4bv14dAzTcA9x4=/0x0:598x388/1220x813/filters:focal(162x112:256x206):format(webp)/cd...

Last train back isn't insane so off to Derby it is.

Some cracking pubs around the station, btw.

Re: Carlisle (A)

What about flying, Would that be cheaper than the train fare? But of course you would have to factor in the transport to the airport or the car parking there. Nearest airport is Newcastle. With the 80 minutes journey between the 2 is it saving much time? Probably not. In terms of rail time, Glasgow...

Re: Selles In

I was born in Frimley in Surrey and my parents moved to Spain soon after. Neither of them cared for football at all so I never got pushed into supporting any club. Saw Leroy Lita score an overhead kick on the Coca Cola league highlights show when I was about 9 years old and just randomly started to...

Re: Selles In

Turning point was the pitch for invasion imo. Players, staff, everyone, was just feeling sorry for ourselves just watching the club die in front of us. The pitch invasion made everyone think, no enough is enough if we are going to go we are going to go kicking and screaming. We are going to fight. ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (a)

First BFTG?

Well, I'm in a Stevenage Holiday inn.

First half was desperate at time, just bodies in the way stopping Stevenage. Slightly shitty goal but who cares?

Second half was an epic. Just so much desire to NOT give in, not concede.

Loved it. Absolutely loved it.
