Re: A few complaints.....

My complaint is that thanks to the celebrations last night, I was too busy concentrating on whispering "We are going up! We are going up!" as I entered the house and looking forward to reliving the final moments on Sky, when in fact I should have realised that my car keys were in the pocke...

Re: Say WHAT now???

Nothing wrong with what STAR are doing. It's the club saying the stadium are quiet and asking for ideas. They came up with the clappers after all. Maybe Anton's dreaming of so much more...

Re: FAO STAR - Management Meeting

If you go to the website at http://star-reading.org/ you can download the notes from the management meeting which says: STAR started by asking about the changes in Y26 where season ticket holders in the area under the scoreboard were asked to move so that the whole area can be netted to prevent othe...

Compo's Hat If ever there was a reason not to be a member of STAR next season then this is it. Your membership fee will be well spent!

Well it wasn't spent on clappers

Re: Clappers at the Forest and Palace games

Forgot to add that the hoops round the stadium thing wouldn't be half as good if on the last home game of the season we weren't promoted, which is still a possibility.

For some reason I am unable to edit my post to add this.

Re: Thames Sports Investment

Speculation has it that the FA is making sure they make all the "due diligence" and "fit and proper person" checks are watertight given what has happened at other clubs and the recent Parliamentary inquiry.

Re: Clappers at the Forest and Palace games

If you mean round the shirt - the time to do something about that was in October and yes, it was. The club was given proof that people wanted it and they countered this by saying they'd had people complain about the hoops all the way round before. This time we were able to give them numbers from ou...

Re: Trouble after the game!?

All I saw/heard was 1 Saints fan shout "You've only got 3 songs" at which point a group of Reading fans started singing "We only need 3 shots". That was it, although it seems there was more of a problem with the policing at Reading than at St Mary's.

Re: Clappers at the Forest and Palace games

I can't give you exact figures, but 72% agreed strongly, 14% agreed slightly, 8% were neutral, 5% disagreed slightly and 1% disagreed strongly with the statement that Reading FC's kit should consist of Royal blue and white hoops, white shorts and white socks, which is a STAR policy.

Re: REFWATCH: Southampton v Reading

I don't have a problem with him as a ref, my problem is that they feel the need to give a 'top' ref rather than one who would normally deal with a championship team. I fully agree with the latter point. Would prefer a ref who knows the Championship well and I think it's a sleight on the refs from t...

Re: Clappers at the Forest and Palace games

Hi Sarah - are STAR doing anything about the Hoops-All-The-Way-Round initiative? If you mean round the shirt - the time to do something about that was in October and yes, it was. The club was given proof that people wanted it and they countered this by saying they'd had people complain about the ho...

Re: Clappers at the Forest and Palace games

HNA? isn't the voice of the majority of fans either. STAR neither asked for nor encouraged the club to get clappers for these matches, but believe it or not there are fans who like them. If you don't like them, don't use them and complain to either STAR or the club because there will be people writi...

If you don't like them, don't use them.

FL, ask Graham when he's going to approve the user names so it can be updated regularly.

Re: Clappers at the Forest and Palace games

Are you perhaps alluding to safe standing, heavy-handed stewarding, filming of fans, reforming national football policy, the ineffectuality of the FA, the cancelling of buses on matchdays, or maybe something some may see as more trivial but fans get upset about none the less like hoops going all the...

Re: Back from the game: Leeds

Felt so wound up and incensed by this match. Always thought Warnock was more of a pantomime villain but have to say I'd be ashamed to be a Leeds supporter after that performance and if all those dirty tackles and tactics were what I was served up every week. Why did the referee not get a grip on the...

Re: Player(s) of The Season

I don't think Feds will get it, too many people bitter about McCarthy not playing. Right now, I'd give it to Feds. There may be other even more brilliant goalkeepers waiting for their chance, but it doesn't alter the fact that he's performed better than the other players on the pitch, keeping us in...
