I saw a game when on holiday last week in Tenerife. It was on Aljazeera Sport channel. I was gonna say --can't imagine plain ol' Al-Jazeera pre-empting live coverage of a "Death to Western Civilization" street rally for something so trifling and decadent as English Premier League football...

Jon Carter's TotW from Soccernet (ESPN's London football bureau; not at all a bad site for those with time for news and perspective): The midfield consists of Reading's outstanding South Korean wideman Seoul [ sic ] Ki-Hyeon on the right. A constant threat with his speed and passing ability, Seoul p...

Reading FC on U.S. TV: check here for updates

** UPDATED Tuesday 31 January 2012 @ 2:15 PM Eastern U.S. ** Confirming what I had surmised --correctly, as it turned out-- and already proceeded to update... Burnley at home has been moved up a day to Friday 17 February, with KO set for 8:00 PM GMT/3:00 PM U.S. EST (and please note that it's 3:00 E...

Me want postgame!! It's to do with the contract and when we can, or can't, carry commentary (even highlights). I need to check precisely what we can do but, to be on the safe side, you won't be able to hear BBCRB until 6pm tonight I'm afraid. Figured it has to do with the particulars of the contrac...

Not getting the stream on BBC/RB as of 1717. Contractual reasons, or a temporary technical fault?

Just popped open my sole remaining bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and will pretty much be doing this over an oatmeal breakfast in the morning. It's just as well, as I think I'd probably lose my mind if I had to wait all day. I was half tempted to avoid the internet until FSC's tape delay showing a...

It's for the ones who've been thru the highs, the lows, the in-betweens and the whole thing all over again for whom I spare a thought on this, the very eve of the greatest day --the absolute pinnacle-- in the one hundred and thirty-five years of the life of Reading Football Club. You, above all, I s...

Across the waves

Hiya --didn't know which thread to trample on with this so reluctantly decided to start a new one. First, congratulations to Reading FC and its supporters on the eve of what has to rank as the biggest day in the history of the club. Well wishes also to BBC Radio Berkshire, with congratulations on th...

Re: support to RFC & Seol from Seoul :)

Now I like the sound of that, Reading as the capital of England! How'z about as capital of occupied France? Hey, over in Meeting Up, I've just posted fresh, within-the-hour news for U.S.-based fans (and those who aren't but whose travel brings them here) in regard to the opener --it'll be on ...

Does this mean I can now come out of the closet and admit that I actually like some of Neil Diamond's songs? A mate of mine whose musical taste tends toward maximum rock 'n' roll swears to this day that the absolute highlight of his life was sitting sixth-row at a Neil Diamond show. And he was a fa...
