Re: Who do we want to play next season?

Birmingham next season will be interesting.

We’ll hopefully take a good crowd there.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Femi Azeez among the people watching the game from the boxes. Probably a good sign for his resigning chances.

EDIT: Mark Bowen is definitely here; I think Ruben Selles is too.

EDIT 2: Michael Craig as well. Same comment with Azeez.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Decent half. I think Okine-Peters had the best chance when he was one-on-one. He took it with his left, when it needed a right footed effort. Put it wide as a result.

Feel we’ve been the better side.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Team sheet I’ve seen (courtesy of the stewards) has John Clarke on the bench. The academy twitter cocked it up by saying John Clarke was on bench and then only naming Billie Clark- both on bench so presumably just one trialist. The big screen has four subs with both Clarke and Clark on the bench. I...

Re: Weekend Football

Bolton are 1-0 up at Barnsley in the play-off first leg at half-time. Seems to be a fairly even game from the stats.

Fully expect Bolton to get through the tie.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Keep hearing a lot of Everton fans saying "Just sell x, y and z and we'll save £30m in wages". Err, no one's going to pay Neil Maupay anywhere near the £70,000 a week you're paying him so he's got zero incentive to go anywhere til his contract runs out next summer. They signed Deli Ali an...

Re: Squad Watch 2024/25

The Royal Forester
Mr Angry Michael Hector has been released from Charlton.....

If he is not good enough for the Addicks, I doubt he is good enough for us now.(pity though).

I'm guessing age came into it - he's 32 this summer. Charlton could probably get a younger, better CB for the same money.

Re: Squad Watch 2024/25

Any ideas as to when we publish the retained list? I appreciate that the potential change of ownership will cause a delay, but I saw that Bristol Rovers have published theirs in the last day or so (they have released a young left back, Gordon, who looked ok against us last month). I know a number o...

That is odd, although it does look like there are some on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315242059096?itmmeta=01HWYZR1BKA4KGBF9MZCA064B0&hash=item4965e41558:g:NvcAAOSwjcNl~aBQ Yeah, and it’s not a new thing either, it’s been for the two seasons I’ve been taking her now. Maybe it goes back fur...

Snowflake Royal a topic you're 'watching' (is that a thing I just made up)

That's a thing. If you club on 'notify me when a reply is posted' in options (under the Submit/Preview buttons), you'll get a notification whenever anyone posts in that thread.

Re: Confrimed: Paul Mukairu

Seems he'll be leaving the club after his loan has expired. I feel he's been too inconsistent throughout the season for him to be anything but a back up option for potential incomings on the wing.

Re: Berks and Bucks Senior cup 2023/24

Odd they've changed the date and venue, but kept it midweek. Would've thought they'd want it on a weekend to get people in. Sandhurst and Marlow would have finished their respective seasons - so could it be due to us being in the Premier League 2 play-offs? Extra time and penalties could run it a b...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Apparently one of the trialists who played over the weekend is 18yo Spurs midfielder Billy Heaps. Which may be my new favourite footballer name. The Tottenham website says: Billy Heaps hails from Stevenage and played for his home-town club before joining us as a 13-year-old. A talented central midf...

Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

No - it's the same format as has been in place since 2000-01. It's still one table: https://spfl.co.uk/league/premiership/table Lol. Never knew this was a thing! The 'table' option on a google search splits it into 'Championship' and 'Relegation' groups of six. Final 5 games instead of 11!? Would t...
