Re: Points Deduction AGAIN

Lose at home to the Blades Tuesday, 6 points docked Wednesday drop to 21st below Cardiff on GD on 38 points. Tuesday also Hudders home to Bristol, Wigan away to the Baggies. Gonna be an interesting night - going in to next weekend fixtures best case 6 points above Blackpool worst case 3 above Wigan...

Re: Rival Watch

Neil’s brought consistency to Huddersfield with two 4-0 defeats. Bristol City will want a reaction to their defeat in Cardiff and is one of those games that if you are in Huddersfield’s position you would be relying on 3 points at home against a mid-table side. If they lose on Tuesday that would be ...

Re: Points Deduction AGAIN

Nameless has now taken the official title of the ‘boards most boring poster and know it all’ off of ian. Never thought I’d see the day. I am not saying this applies to Nameless, but there are some people on here who’d have an argument in an empty room! I also hear what you are saying Snowball about...

Re: Points Deduction AGAIN

I’d still be relatively confident of survival even if they tried to stiff us with a 12 point deduction. I think we are are better than Wigan, Blackpool and Huddersfield and no worse than Birmingham City, Stoke, and Cardiff either, so with a sense of injustice to stir us up we’d be okay. Makes it exc...

6ft Kerplunk Also it appeared that there's no need to bother with the rest of the FA Cup as Matterface gave the trophy to Man United last night.

A big step towards their Mickey treble.

Re: Farewell, John Motson

There’s a really good documentary on bbc iPlayer at the moment. You may have already seen it as it was produced for when he retired in 2017 to 18, but I hadn’t seen it until this week so other people may have missed it too. Didn’t know his son was a Derby fan and that Motty himself tried to get alon...

Re: (Bad) memories of that game in 1995

I remember going to the game at Wolves in August 94 and although we lost 1-0 we outplayed them for most of the game. I remember thinking it was the best Reading team I’d ever seen. Even the season before we were called the Man Utd of the 3rd division. Happy days and memories. It was half way throug...

Re: (Bad) memories of that game in 1995

Bolton was by far the worst I have felt. We played like a dream ib the first half but the saved pen gave them a lifeline. Was it Koumas who should have seen red? I can't recall The second half was unbearable as we started dropping deeper. Took months to gey over. EDIT it was that scrote McAteer. Ye...

NathStPaul Matt Bloomfield in talks to take over at Wycombe.

Isn’t there a bit of a rivalry between Wycombe and Colchester from their non league days, this should add to this.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (a)

Our tactics on the day were quite transparent, frustrate, slow the pace of the game down etc. We were doing it quite effectively until the 84th minute. This is a rag bag team at the moment due to the restrictions on us and we have to get through this season and hopefully start to rebuild a more expa...

Re: Ince out!

If he keeps us up then he deserves the chance to lead us into next season. I also like everything he has done behind the scenes, I'm sure he has picked up a lot from his experiences with Manchester, Milan and England and it looks like he's put this to good use. My only concerns is his tactics, subs...

Re: Rival Watch

Phew. Late winner for Luton. They missed a penalty earlier. Cardiff in deep trouble aren’t they? Seem to recall them bigging themselves up after beating Norwich first up. Gone very very wrong for them Their fans were not bigging themselves up at all. They were delighted and surprised to have won th...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Manchester United (a)

In my lifetime the only time we have got close to United in a game was the 1-1 league game at home and that is with our best ever team in our best ever season in terms of league position, 2006-7. We haven’t got close to laying a glove on them since. That is what supporting Reading is all about, on t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Manchester United (a)

My thoughts... 3-1 is no disgrace against a strong Man Utd side who will finish top 4. It could and should have been a lot worse as they battered us throughout. I don't think we played that well. Defended ok but midfield we were completely overrun. Man Utd looked like they had 3-4 more players on t...
