Re: Record Watch 2015/16

Good news is that if they get 106 as well we retain the record. They currently have a goal difference of 32 compared to ours which ended as 67. Actually quite an interesting comparison, that's a fairly big difference which suggests that we won our games rather more convincingly than they have been d...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

It's been mentioned several times in various places that on top of the match by match income, Irish also pay a large contribution to the pitch maintenance. IIRC we only got the Desso pitch because they paid half, and they pay half the cost of the biannual relaying. We didn't did the work it needed ...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

Although pity the poor marketing person who is suddenly told - you need to go and find an extra million to replace what we aren't getting from Irish !
I'm not sure it makes sense for any business to simply turn their noses up at a million quid (which I think is an underestimate in any case)

Anyone know anything ? been a strong link between the clubs for years tbf - each others flags at games, Bochum chants at ou...

GgRe: The Egg chasers relegation

Been better this season actually as they've played less games than normal as they somehow managed to fail to qualify for Europe last season (and that is difficult in rugby's top division). And it is BAD that they're getting relegated as the division below has 4 more teams in it, therefore more game...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

Bizarre that anyone thinks we play 'hoofball', whatever that is. And bizarre that anyone can think that a goal scored as a result of an absolutely blatent infringement isn't worth at least a mention when debating whether the result reflected the game. I agree to some extent that the defence should a...

Re: Loan Watch

Hurtado has been on loan for a month and a half and has still not made it off the bench. Apparantly having spent 6 months in England he's forgotten all the Portugese he knew and is having to relearn it. Also having got much fitter here to cope with the English game he's having to lose a bit of cond...

He's been a fairly regular visitor since they took over. We know they take footballing advice from their own sources. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing probably depends on who they talk to and what they say ! You would hope this is with the knowledge of the football side of the club and pu...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Congratulations to Josh Barratt on his first team debut last night.
To be honest I've seen him play 2 or 3 times and not really seen what the fuss is about but the club clearly rate him as Brian has had him with the senior side a lot this year.

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

Indeed, some glorious years since the move. Top 4 finishes and a playoff final, brilliant European games - the ones against Munster and Leinster in particular stand out. Some truly outstanding players have also worn the green shirt at the Madejski.
Not sure that was where you were going though !

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

So has the weather improved under Brian or was it better under Clarke ? Was Nigel Adkins our wettest ever manager ? Did Brendan leave under a cloud ? We all knew the sun shone form Sir Steve but meteorologically speaking who has been our best manager and should this be measured in mm of rain or minu...

Oops - we lose against the Udders and the knives for MaccyD are out again.... No doubt they'll be put back in the drawer if we win on Friday! Keep the faith people! I think you will find that some of us are not fickle enough to change a view of "MaccyD" as you call him, based purely on a ...
