Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Pre 90s racism and hooliganism was very much a symptom of wider social problems so if you're going to take a bunch of racist hooligans and shove them in a pen overflowing with piss every weekend for 9 months of the year, they're going to indulge in their favourite past-times. The bigger issue was e...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol Rovers (h)

The Bristol Rovers fans, like the Portsmouth ones, are complaining about not being able to get more than ~2,800 tickets. They're clearly forgetting about the concept of segregation, both externally and internally within the stadium. We'd have to modify our segregation, especially internally to acco...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (h)

The booing at the end was for the referee. He looked like he wanted to celebrate with the Portsmouth players when their equaliser went in, 45+9 when 8 minutes were added on. He was an absolute whopper who wanted to be the star of the show.

Joey Barton’s available now.

He is good with young players, good at using them as ashtrays.

Hound Saw Josh Laurent being upset on Twitter about something or other. Not sure if he got booed off or something

Not too sure how Alex Neil is still in a job there tbh

I’m also not sure why Stoke aren’t in a world of FFP pain yet either.

Re: Charlton (A)

The away end, the Jimmy’s Seed Stand, holds 3,000 so we will probably get another 1,000 allocated if the original 2,000 allocation goes. Alternatively you could have a whole row of seats to yourself somewhere in the Home end if it came to it.

And finish him off? I think Sir Brian has done enough for us to not deserve to come back at the moment.

Re: New GK

Remember the days when we would use 7 keepers in a season? Makes having to use a third seem fat from beyond the realms of possibility. The one thing about that era was when we occasionally got a good un you appreciated them more, Tommy Wright and Jim Leighton spring to mind. You just watched them a...

Tyrone Mings has suffered what looks like a bad injury, not as bad as someone stamping on your face, but still quite bad.

Re: Sam Smith confimred

Very much against players returning in principle but this is a move that makes total sense. I liked the look of him in League 1 and I think he will do a decent job for us next season. Would tend to agree on players coming back, but yeah this seems a bit of a no-brainer. This isn't a nostalgia trip ...

Yes completely agree re Twitter, but something's not right with this appointment. It doesn't take that long to get a work permit, particularly for someone who's worked in the UK recently...was also nowhere to be seen on Sat. Season starts 3 weeks Sat....no players, no manager...very worrying if we ...

Re: The dedicated Chris Wilder thread

I didnt know Alan Knill was born in Slough… I remember him as a player for mainly lower league northern teams (apart from a spell at Swansea) and had just assumed he is a northerner. Alan Knill, I remember watching him play for Swansea back in the late 80s thinking his name would be a good fit for ...

Re: Weekend Football

There was a moment in the first half when Rashford didn’t even leave the ground for a 50/50 headed challenge and there was mass booing from the Nited “support”. United’s away support is usually one of the best, if not the best in the league but when it gets diluted by day trippers and the United wor...
