Re: Boro Match Thread

11 shots to our measly 2... and only one of ours on target Sad thing is that now we've had our shot on target the game is well and truly over. This truly is the worst period of watching Reading play football since Bullivant, at least under Brian last year one game in three had some passion in the s...

Re: Boro Match Thread

Same old totally uninspiring crap. Does the plank we have for a manager deliberately coach our players to avoid creating chances in case it makes our possession stats look poor - or is it just that we have players that just aren't up to this level of football?

BFTG - Middlesbrough

Lousy start as per usual, managed an attempt on the corner flag in the 41st minute but by then it was too late as our defending had already killed off any reasonable challenge for a point. Bit brighter in the second half though but still a little confused by the replacement of Pogrebnyak with Federi...

Re: January Transfer Window

Before anything else we need a twenty goal a season striker, a left back, an attacking midfielder and could do with an additional centre back We need to shift on a keeper, a midfielder and probably could lose a couple of wingers and one of Alf or Blackman (apparently NA really rates Blackman by the ...

Re: BFTG - Leicester

Blackman did well. Good first touch, decent movement and awareness. He did OK but didn't perform like you would expect from a winger. Only took on and beat his man once or twice (made a good run cutting into the area from the right in the last few minutes) in the game and rarely put in a cross. I w...

Re: Buyout

Just hoping now for a quick something to happen one way or another so we know where we are once and for all, last thing we want is a long drawn out January with nothing but more rumour and supposition.

Re: Leicester Match Thread - Sponsored by Coppell's coat

Watching Reading is painful, at least under Heston we had a bit of passion and kept going for 90 minutes, with Adkins there's just nothing it's all just very :| with totally unfathomable team selections and substitutions. While I think we needed to move to the more passing based game that Adkins pre...

Another poor performance so far, another game of zero threat and to top it all the local Leicester power co. say they'll have the power issues fixed by 4 pm.

Re: Buyout

FTR forbes has him at 1.1billion this year He has a 100 million dollar yacht which is a fairly large expenditure if he only has 600 million, my guess is these figures are all over the place because no one really knows. Said yacht has a helipad, swimming pools and orchestra and spends most of its ti...

Knowing Reading, if this is true, he's going to be the least wealthy rich Arab gentleman available.

Cue summer tours of Dubai and a nice little mosque replacing the hotel.

Re: John Madejski-Legend

Let's not forget the role of SJM's predecessor, Roger Smee. He played his part in turning the club round. It's not all down to Sir John. Of course, but Smee did as much as he could have done to be fair. SJM has always stated that he came in with hours to spare before we faced oblivion, so from that...
