Re: Drop Carroll

Hoofing the ball to his head is such a waste, his footballing skills were as much a reason for his move to Liverpool as his heading! Mix it up! Said this on another thread. He's got a great first touch, there's no reason we can't find a way to utilise this if we don't just boot the ball in his gene...

Re: Ince out!

And he’s too ****** negative, not only with team selection much of the time but also the continual moaning that the squad isn’t good enough and seemingly making the squad feel like they’re only here as there wasn’t anyone better available. To be honest, that's a pretty fair assessment of the situat...

Don’t panic everyone. I’m back in the UK for a few days and this will be my first game live for about 16 months .

Nailed on Home Win. ;-)

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a)

He really doesn`t rate NGW does he. Given our financial position, you've got to ask what was the oxf*rd point of signing him if you're going to only play him when absolutely forced to. We've wasted a fair few coppers on players who've contributed very little again this season. Not that i blame NGW ...

Re: Rival Watch

He might well end up being a bit like Danny Cowley. Did wonders at Lincoln but can't get that same success anywhere else he goes. Definitely deserves that crack at a bigger job though and he does have that safety net of the fact Wycombe would take him back in a heartbeat should the situation presen...

Re: Rival Watch

Do you mean unproven at Championship level or in general? Certainly at Championship level. IIRC, did he not take Wycombe up through some Covid-related mechanism rather than them winning promotion after having played 46 games that season? If so, then it could be argued that there was a degree of &qu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

No I can't work out why it's so much different away from home either. For whatever reason when tyres hit the tarmac it's as if we're a completely different team. Whether that comes down to mentality from the manager, I don't know. But yes our home form is as good as it's been for a good long while ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

Lol. Tim Dellors commentary cuts out the split second we score . Now we know who to blame for being shite.

Seriously though , a tiny bit of endeavour down the left and lo and behold something positive happens from it.

Re: Ince out!

Getreading article on the 10th feb quote from ince ‘Would I love to play four at the back? Yes. Can I? At the moment, I can't.’ Moore is ready, he came through an u21’s unscathed. I expect to see a 4 at the back with him in the team. Yiadom playing in his natural position. Holmes and Moore and cb a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (a)

If he's got a clause saying he must play, its a bit odd he was the loanee dropped when we had 6 to pick from. And that he's been a sub at least 5 times. But I like your thinking. According to Ince , he had tonsillitis. He's also our best LWB according to Ince, so pinch of salt and all that. ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (a)

So if he has a clause in his loan saying he has to start every game, can't we just sub him off after 2 minutes? Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (a)

Decent half that from an organisational point of view. Let them have the ball to the half way line and then close down in our half. Better final ball and we'd have had a couple of chances so we're still carrying a threat in behind. That's why if we're playing two up front either Long or Meite have t...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Easing himself back after such a bad injury is no bad thing. Good to see Kelvin E on the scoresheet again. Can't help but think we might be reaching the stage where we need to use him or lose him. Maybe his brother's struggle will dissuade him from looking further afield too early. Where is he now?...

It’s shaking the malaIse at the club apparently. https://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/sport/23311189.reading-fc-boss-calls-club-shake-malaise-arrival/ He's absolutely spot on. The very best thing Ince brings to the table in my opinion is that's he's secure enough and brave enough to manage those abov...
