Re: Season Tickets for 'old' ladies

... The reirment age for women is 60, and for men it's 65, so the logic, you would assume, is that the concession is intened to apply to retirment age - but it doesn't. It's a blanket 65, regardless of sex, so all those women who have retired at 60 and no longer have a wroking income still have to ...

Re: Pre season tour

Past experience has shown that the venues tend to be in the middle of nowhere  and it could take some hrs to get back to your hotel by train if you base yourself just in one place, although car hire is obviously another option (I have my Swedisg driving in the rain badge from 2 or 3 yrs ago!)....

Re: Am i the only one feeling this way re: Burns?

Now i don't wish death on too many people and certainly not Tommy Burns, but the USA style emotion virus seems to have affected Reading FC. I am reading various superlatives for the man and don't know why? as far as i can remember, all Tommy did at Reading was take the pist, empty Sir John's bank a...

You can right click and save the picture with IE too - don't need Firefox to do it.

Re: Bring back the white shorts and proper hoops.

I think the time has come for Reading Fc to return to the classic 1970's kit of blue and white hoops, white shorts and white socks with the two blue hoops on the socks as worn by Robin Friday, Steve Hetzke and Oliie Kearns. Lets go retro. Lets ditch the current kit as it is naf with the blue shorts...

http://www.football365.com/john_nicholson/0,17033,8746_3555207,00.html Brilliant article. Echos my feelings perfectly. Surely all fans want to see their team win matches. Regardless of what actually happens next season, the way I see it we will go into the season having SIXTEEN more realistic oppor...

Readingfanman Imagine a Marek Sidwell combination. :x

I'm not sure if Mr Sidwell and Mrs Matejovsky would be up for it though - and we'd have to wait about 20 years.

Re: Worst three matches watched

Rochdale 4 Reading 1 in 1983 - absolutely woeful performance and completely spanked by oxf*rd Rochdale. Reading 1 Palace 6 in 1996 - I have a lot of mates who support Palace and it took months for me to live that one down. Pompey 7 Reading 4 this season - Don't be fooled by us scoring 4 away from ho...

Re: Newcastle Away - Tickets & Hotels

More like 1,100 which is still an impressive figure for a Wednesday night. The official away attendance for the Newcastle game last season was 1,686 We only took fewer fans than that to 4 PL games last season (Bolton, Everton, Boro & Wigan). http://www.squelchy.co.uk/attendances0607.htm The ave...

Re: Remember the time we thrashed Blackburn 4-0 at Elm Park?

Unfortunately I wasn't at the game as I was getting married that day. Choosing to go to the church rather than Elm Park is a decision I now regret. But I did have earphones in listening to radio updates throughout the service though.
