Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

I remember a quote from Paul ince just after he masterminded a quite phenomenal escape from relegation for Macclesfield. He basically said that his playing career was irrelevant, He couldn't relate to them earning £250 a week and relegation potentially meaning they lose their houses and they couldn'...

Re: Amazing Support

Sorry to hear of you loss. RIP.

With all the focus on what happens on the pitch, it's reassuring to know that quietly behind the scenes at the club there beats a compassionate heart.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Yeah - just because he's a yank everyone seems to be ignoring his actual management experience. Especially as the media were demanding Ryan Giggs - who has an expansive career in management..... ..and he has a proven track record of turning under achieving clubs around. I bet he's the only Princeto...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Just out of interest, who is bob bradley? Bob Bradley? Oh, you mean the same Bob Bradley who took the US to the final game of the 2009 Confederations Cup, ending Spain's 35 game unbeaten streak in the process, but losing to Brazil in the final (what a disgrace having that happen, lol)? That Bob Bra...

Re: A funny thing happened to me on the way to the game.....

Best I can do is bumping into Sam Torrance at Keele Services on the way back from a League Cup game in Stoke. He was haggling with the cashier over the cost of a travel rug.

Re: MATCHWATCH: Portsmouth (A) - EFL Trophy

Pretty sure there was some sort of group cup in the early 80s. We may have even knocked Watford out when they were one of the best teams in the country.

Everyone knows 'Arry's as clean as a whistle. It's his dog that's as bent as they come.

Re: The England Manager Disaster Thread sponsored by Big Fat Sam's pint of wine.

If I was advising third parties how to circumvent my employer's regulations, I'd expect the sack even if I wasn't gaining personally from providing this information. It's a huge conflict of interest and absolutely the sort of behaviour I'd expect from an arrogant prick like Allardyce. "Entrapme...

Re: Away fans that surprised you

I'm always surprised that West Ham have a bunch of fans who bang on about their Academy of Beautiful Cultured Football, whilst simultaneously being the most working class knuckledragging thicko neanderthal scum and then all singing along to some lame arse stupid trite song piped in over the tannoy ...

Always found Sunderland fans hugely disappointing both home and away, just so quick to let their heads drop.

Is that 2 quotes from the same person?

"Reading don't register with me at all so I'll list the reasons why I dislike them"

I think I see the simplest of fools basking in glee.
