Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by M4 Derbies Ltd.

Was a great game. Very enjoyable and tense at the end

Just about deserved the win, but sure Bristol would claim they deserved a point.

Tammy Abraham is far too good for that level - we did well against him but he was excellent. They'd be half the team without him

Re: Danny Williams Out?

depends whats on offer - Derby stupid enough to stump up 3 mill for Blackman last year Would rather keep hold if possible, but can understand if a decent offer (2m+) came in the owners wanting to cash in as I can't see him staying beyond the summer unfortunately McCleary would be more of a loss - I'...

Re: BFTG - Burton

I enjoyed the game tbh. I thought the first half hour was entertaining, and there was plenty going on. We do 'kill' off games pretty well, breaking up any momentum the opposition gets. It can lead to tension lifting from the game. It would be interesting to see how we play if we go a goal down at ho...

Re: BFTG - Burton

Did AAH actually make a proper 'save' today?

Must have missed it if he did

1st half could easily have ended 4-0 up. We were by far the better side

Re: BFTG - Burton

Very very comfortable. Was an enjoyable performance but once we were 2-0 up any tension went out of the game Did worry we might have eased up too much in the 2nd half, could have been unnecessarily nervy if they'd manage to nick one. They were pretty desperate to be fair I liked the formation. Obita...

Re: Burton (H) - Predictions

Another comfortable win I think. My only concern is lack of creativity with Swift out, but think we'll have too much for them

2-0. Kermie penalty and a refreshed Beerens.

Re: Contracts

I think we'll do well to keep hold of McCleary in Jan, would be a low risk signing for a bottom half prem or better paying champ side. Would certainly like to keep hold of him. I expect we'll offer Williams a new contract on reduced terms - then up to whether anyone else offers him anything better. ...

Re: Ali Al-Habsi

I think sometimes footballers just get a bad name due to the actions of a few clowns who get into the press Most of the time, they are just normal young lads who appreciate the career they have got. All have had to work extremely hard to make it. Bumped very randomly into Danny Williams not so long ...

Re: BFTG - Wigan (A)

We looked very good on the highlights - the 2 early goals were excellent (and agree g-mac should be playing more centrally and closer to Yann at times), and a perfect penalty That Meite offside must have been close - still was a lovely finish. Unfortunate that. Still hopefully offers a real option u...

Re: Wigan (A) - Predictions

2-1 to us I think. Don't think Wigan are up to much and bar the Villa game, we're on a decent run in the league

Kermie and Swift

Re: BFTG - Forest (h)

Stam has done an outstanding job. I'm sure he like everyone else realises there are still a number of improvements that can be made though. I think we've the makings of a play-off team, especially if we can find another striker/or get Yann or Samuel firing consistently. The likes of Evans and Swift ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (h) sponsored by Mikele Leigertwood

Strange game I thought - looked very comfortable without playing very well at all G-Mac looked great every time he got the ball, but that was about 10 times in the entire match. Beerens utterly anonymous. Something still not right with the system where we can't get our most dangerous players into th...

Re: Could 3-5-2 be the answer ?

Tough call - could certainly see it working, and I like Obita & Gunter as wing backs and Yann and Samuel up top. But then I also wouldn't want to drop Beerens and G-Mac.

I'd keep it as a plan b at this stage if we keep struggling to create

Re: Forest (H) Predictions

We really should win this one comfortably

More confident about this than any other game yet this season, so will go 3-0 with a couple for Kermie and one for Swift

Re: BFTG - Arsenal (a)

I don't think Arsenal played particularly sh*t and I've no doubt they had another couple of gears to go through had we really pushed them

There was a large and very understandable gulf in quality between the two teams

Re: BFTG - Arsenal (a)

agree with that - the 'there for the taking' stuff is not really true. They were at home, have come off the back of 7 successive wins, and have players of the calibre of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Iwobi in the side. 2 others of their side cost 30mill between them, and they were able to bring on France's...

Re: BFTG - Arsenal (a)

to be fair to the Gunners support last night, I once went to watch them play in the champs league with an Arsenal supporting mate. They were just as clueless and passionless then. A couple of half baked rounds of 'We hate Tottenham' and a lot of munching on their organic chicken nuggets and triple c...
