Re: Lita for Norwich

His loan technically ends tomorrow. Any extension will presumably include the requisite clause. Speaking of Leroy, I see the attidude hasn't gone: “I'm playing every week and I need to be playing every week,” said the former England U21 striker. “I've made it clear that I won't go back to Reading an...

Re: Please give Henry a chance

Reading 3-1 Liverpool HTH Although I agree, the last thing we should do is bring Convey in ahead of Henry or Marek. Ahhh yeah, that makes up for relegation noooob. If it worked then why didn't coppell stick with it? Exactly! It was make shift because we had no other (good) options. Henry now has ex...

Re: 6.7 million profit

Lol at anyone who thinks any business should try to be in debt at the moment. I suspect that 6.7m is in our cash pile as a reserve, and quite right too - we're saving on sky-high interest, and it is still there to invest at the right moment. The football credit crunch is coming for every club not ow...

winchester_royal
Tutti Frutti which differentiates them from 7 of the other 9 how?

It doesn't.

which is my point - however much they were crap, we cant drop 9 players for Tuesday, nor should we. Hence my derision fro the idea of picking on Armstrong in particular, who was by no means the worst of the poorer bunch.

Re: Team for Cardiff

I want to drop Armstrong, who was awful, but I don't think Golbourne or Kelly are ready to face Cardiff's wingers. two fullbacks today and you pick on Armstrong not Rosenior?!? Armstrong was the better and also made our goal. They were both bloody awful. which differentiates them from 7 of the othe...

Re: Back from the game...

Yes, It was. As for players, I saw two bits of quality today - Armstrong's vision when he dropped off to receive the ball for the goal, and Marcus' saves. Other than that, we had a few players who did a good job in difficult situations with little help (Ivar, Doyle, NHunt), and the six who frankly w...

Think we'll pick up a few more by end of month - many people will have hung on to pay day knowing there would be availability and the option to change seat.

Re: RUMOUR - kris boyd

"worth up to £4m". In Cardiff terms, that means 250k now, and the full 4m when they win the Premiership, he makes 500 appearances and gets 100 Scotland caps as we win the World Cup. It's like the Cureton thing. Only real money talks. Other clubs were talking in terms of 500-750k on all sor...

Speculation.

Misinformation. He completes his 10 years on 6 July this year. First game was the 3-0 friendly win against Wednesday at Elm Park on 15/7/98.

Maybe plastic, but not plastic enough to join such plastic clubs. People have a go at us, but I have never heard so many people be so quiet as I did at the so-called big 4's home grounds. Especially united. 76,000 people, about 7.6 decibles. LOLaughable.

I'll drive Hunty to Sunderland myself for a £5m transfer fee. I'll carry him if it's £3m and Dean Whitehead.

Re: Pre-season friendly v MK Dons

Can't argue with that but there is little mention anywhere, ever, of how AFC did the dirty on Kingstonian. Added to the fact that everyone I have met associated with AFC all the way through to the youth football (I mean the club officials here not the kids!) has been a total oxf*rd cock, I find mys...

Re: Pre-season friendly v MK Dons

Last season's return of honours to Wimbledon and the fact MK are working their way up from League 2 have drawn a lot of the sting from the MK - AFCW thing. It's time to let it go a bit. As an AFCW shareholder and a Reading STH, i have no objections to us playing them now. I won't of course be darken...

Re: How much? Next year's season ticket

I'm constantly amazed by people's inability to grab hold of the concept of inflation. If the club dropped prices to £360 now, they would be charging you significantly less that they were 3 years ago. Backdated to 2005, the current price is the equivalent of about £383 then. Given the cost base of th...
