Re: Record Watch 23/24

Championship wage bills for 2023/24. the relegated teams are literally in a different league of their own. https://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/championship-wage-bills-2023-24-leeds-leicester-southampton Its a whole new ball game these days when you throw in FFP the rest of the league have to...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

The "they're down the bottom" comments very ill informed. We've been on play-off chasing form for over 2 months, and would surely be up there with a proper pre season and without a points deduction Yeah precisely, on current form, we should have expected a fairly comfortable win so it was...

Want to go to this one but won't be able to if it's moved which I'm assuming is likely.

Re: Selles In

We've lost the club if Dai doesn't sell. His first touch is still pretty iffy. He's certainly not walking into a Championshio team. But on a free as a cheap punt on reasonable wages, he's worth a punt at £8k - £10k. GWL is out of his mind thinking he'd get £25k in the Championship or £15k in L1. Ke...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

We only took 24 (out of 52) points from our last 13 games. Near as damn it 1.85 points per game. Leicester need a smidge over 2.2 points per game to beat it. It's going to be close. If you know of a way of getting 52 points out of 13 games, please pass on to our current team, would put us right in ...

One of the most likeable fans in the division, wish we could both get 3pts but must win here.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

Certainly showed yet again we are almost useless without a fully fit Smith, wonder if there are any free agents that might fill the role of backup, that or Ehibatioman has to improve or we adjust our play to suit him as the lone striker. Even when he's not scoring Smith's work rate is immense.

Fleetwood player that headed it just inside the 6 yard box looked just offside.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

I do think we'll eventually have to give Smith a rest and try something else otherwise we'll just run him into the ground. I'm not sure Fleetwood is the game to experiment, maybe Portsmouth?

Re: Record Watch 23/24

just reading an article on BBC Sport, I didn't realize Derby's 11 points in our first season in the prem was a record still held to this day... across all of the top 5 European leagues :!:  I thought it was just a prem record. So they really are the ' worst team in history ' as we like to chan...

Feels weird the club tweeting congrats to Fae for the AFCON win when he was nothing but a disaster for us who ended up refusing to play for us.

What can be said? Apart from the first 10 minutes, that was complete domination and a well deserved 3pts, bring on Fleetwood!

Definitely does seem to be some unwarranted confidence from the Charlton lot, barely anyone predicting a defeat. Early goal could really hit them.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h)

Listening to the EPR preview pod, Charlton fans are well up for this and hyping it up as the turning point in their season. 3000 fans, new manager, big win to light the fuse. In the same pod, they basically said everybody is playing shit, they don't have a plan to bring May into the game and the Ja...

So I’m hearing in the grapevine charlton fans are planning on going in the home section dotted around all the stands pretending to be Reading fans. Then they will invade the pitch on 16 minutes pretending to be Reading fans protesting about dai so we get our suspended points deduction which could h...

Re: How early have you taken your children to a game and it be ok?

I think as long as they have already shown an interest in football then they're old enough, if they're still young you might have to be prepared to take them down to the concourse if the noise startles them.

Brogue Reading fans fighting a couple of Stevenage fans after the game. Dicks

Absolute cowards, fighting at a football match is twatish enough, outnumbering 2 guys and acting tough is a whole other level.
