Re: Sack The Manager... REALLY?!

From Despair To Where? Watching a team with some spirit and fight will be an improvement. We need continuity, not more change and if that means tempering expectation for a couple of seasons and building from the foundations up then so be it and if the owners have any sense, they will realise that.

Well said.

Re: Dellor moaning about Vydra again!!!

^ I'd have a modicum of sympathy if they didn't command such obscene wages in exchange for such medicority. As I have said though, this is more than a RFC issue. For me, professional footballers are down there with politicians in terms of fair game for criticism.

Re: Would you take Vydra permanently?

61% voted YES  Given that we at least got a return on the disastrous signings Halford and Fae I'd venture that Vydra has been our worst value fo money signing EVER  Did Brian praise him for 'working hard' again yesterday? :| The bare minimum requirement from a player, but i guess Brian has...

Re: Dellor moaning about Vydra again!!!

And so - despite the patchy form of the team, the absymal lack of impact made by expensive loan signings, the risible decision not to use young players towards the end of this season in favour of said loan signings who aren't even going to be here next season and the continued question marks over th...

Re: Birmingham (H) Match Thread Sponsored by Seahawk's Excellent Adventure

I am sure there are plenty of clubs that were in the same league as Reading in the 1970's and 80's that never made it up to division 2 let alone the top division (twice). They went the opposite direction as Reading and are now in the 5th or 6th division (or maybe still in the Conference/Conference ...

Re: Boro (A) Predictions

This could be a painful one couldn't it. I'd hope we might be able to restrict it to 2-0 as Boro are hardly a thrill-a-minute goal-hungry side themselves.

Another win. Manager who took over a rather disjointed club is taking us to a midtable position and has the summer to make the necessary adjustments our budget allows and given his track record I am sure we trust him to improve the team. Happy days eh :!:

Re: Dellor moaning about Vydra again!!!

You can tell it has been a boring season when this kind of exchange is being micro-analysed. Dellor asks - as is his wont as a journalist/broadcaster - a question based on an opinion he has formed from extensive watching of the team this season. Brian deals with it professionally and politely like t...

Remember watching this at the time, enjoyed watching again. I went to every game of that run. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

He just casts such a dark cloud over the Madejski Stadium. How can Reading FC expect to grow it's fan base with such a negative moaner putting everyone off by whinging about everything RFC related. What a load of tosh. He is a journalist, paid to have an opinion. He is not a club representati...

Bargain basement stuff again, but at least we will soon have an ice rink, that's the main thing isn't it ? Because the likes of Drenthe, Pog, Vydra, Matejovsky hugely outperformed the likes of Doyle, Long, Shorey, Kitson from the ' bargain basement ', didn't they? You can add the likes of Senior an...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

I enjoy both rugby and football. Just takes a broader mind set than many on here seem to possess. Not really. It is perfectly permissible to be of the opinion that rugby is an infinitely less enjoyable spectacle than football. Imho, even the worst football matches tend to be more of an enjoyable an...
