Re: Charles Watts to Arsenal

genome I begrudgingly unfollowed Charles last night. I don't fancy having my feed full of Arsenal match updates and it was a bit weird seeing him report on someone else.

Shame, top reporter.

Yeah, same - with similar sentiments

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by Adge Cutler & The Wurzels

The Cap Didn't we come back to get a decent win at Brizzle a few seasons ago? Not into the stats etc. Am sure somebody will advise though.

Yep. During the last promotion season, early on. We were shocking until the last 10 minutes and turned around a 2-0 deficit (I think) to win it.

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Interesting the Beeb saying it was (live fast) Dai Yongge himself that failed the FPPT... Although nobody else has. So what do we deduce? The BBC has worded it wrongly or got it wrong I suspect. In any case, if he were judged not fit and proper so recently, how has he suddenly redeemed himself? Or ...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

According to CW, it wasn't Dai or his sister that failed the FPPT but others in the consortium. It's currently unclear whether others - or if it would be the same "others" - would be involved in RFC.

Re: Stagecoach 192 from Sandhurst

Used to use it when I lived in Crowers. Normally fairly reliable unless you get a new/different driver who doesn't know the route and gets lost. Can be a bit frustrating after the game as it will wait awhile before setting off meaning the roads are well choked but still better than driving and much ...

Re: BFTG Derby

My first home game of the season and, Christ, did I pick a duffer. Thankfully some football did break out after 80 minutes of watching paint dry, don't know why it took that long to realise you usually need to have the ball in the opponent's half to score. First half was incredibly boring - their ke...

Re: EFL Trophy - Bristol Rovers (A) Match Thread sponsored by nobody really cares.

I was one of the 69 - I work down the road so it wasn't much effort. Bit disappointed to be sat behind the goal - would've preferred to be in the small corner terrace but didn't have the choice - as the view was a bit shit. Surprisingly entertaining game played at a reasonable pace. Youngsters not o...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

It helps that the standard of officials in top class rugby and cricket is extremely high, but also the decision making in those is fact based whereas football is mostly opinion based which does make it more open to disagreement. Sorry, Nameless, usually a fan of your work, but that (highlighted) is...

Re: Why are "we" booing players keeping the ball?

This is not to excuse, condone or in any way encourage it (nor can I say that I've actually heard it), but... We've been trying to play a patient, possession-based passing game now for about 5 years (with slight variations with the different managers) and, for the vast majority of that time, we've b...

FFS we've played 2 fcuking games - against pretty shite opposition too. Have you lot got goldfish brains? Do none of you remember how last season panned out? It's not just the results but how we've been playing, calm down and stop insulting people. I'm perfectly calm thanks and my memory's good eno...

wingnut I dunno. I think we're worth a judas bet.

If I were the gambling type.

Which I'm not.

For the record I am and I did. Win win situation

Not quite sure how that's a win- win.

If we stay up then you lose. If Reading go down, you win.

So it's a win-lose or lose-win as I see it.
