Re: New manager odds

Top Flight You lot might not be concerned about the mystical decision making of our owners, but I am.

Really? Do tell us more.

Re: Jaap Stam/Stamalamadingdong Mega Thread

It seems Charles Watts has had a Damascene conversion and is now a believer in the Stam + Uldrnk faith. To be made official on Monday apparently.

Re: New manager odds

Charles Watts now tweeting Stam + Uldrink is a done deal. He was sceptical earlier in the week but now appears to have seen the light.
Prolly still won't be made official until Monday tho, according to Watts.

Re: New manager odds

You're becoming a parody of yourself, Top Flight. I've seen no evidence of any superstitious behaviour from the club.

Re: Pre season - Swindon (A)

I *might* be IN for this as it's not too far for me. I could see if my Swindon supporting neighbour is planning to go and sit in the Home end.

RL should be able to walk to the ground.

Re: New manager odds

FFS Top Flight, you're getting as bad as Dave.
Calm down. The club, and the OS in particular, has always been the last to announce any news. It's not as if there's much to be done at the mo, with everyone on their holidays or at the Euros.

Platypuss Shocking title
Shocking nobbing (not official yet)
Minded to delete the whole thing pour encourager les autres.

Far more shocking modding going on with the stickying of utterly pointless threads.

Charles Watts tweeting that he's heard nothing (although he is on holiday) and reckons this is just agent talk with plenty more miles left to run yet.

Re: Stamalamadingdong

Fair enough. Although (IMO) being manager of a British semi-pro team is *slightly* different to being coach of a club's B team. In the latter case, there would be very little genuine man-management required; it would purely be picking a side for the next game. How relevant either would be to managin...

Re: Stamalamadingdong

TBM
wingnut Brian did have managerial experience.

Albeit at conference level (were Woking conference at the time? CBA to check) but point still stands.

Slough Town

In that case Stam has experience too, managing the Ajax B team

And Woking - and just checked, they were in the conference at the time.

Re: Message from the Thai's

A direct comparison between the number of Season Tickets sold at the point of renewal deadline in 2015 and the number sold at the same deadline this summer, reveals that sales are up ahead of the 2016-17 season. "...ahead of the 2016/17 season." That suggests last season's sales at this p...

Re: Euro 96 v Euro 16

Thinking about Euro 96 makes me feel really old - but then, I am. I remember a work colleague back in 93 who was a season ticket holder at Old Trafford (still is) and said as it was one of the host grounds for Euro 96 he could sign up for tickets early so I asked him to put me down for the opening g...

Re: New manager odds

Stam comes in, doesn't meet the Thai's expectations come xmas, sacked. Stam comes in, has an excellent first season, takes Premier League job. I don't do positives any more. Dolan comes in does an excellent job takes Premier League job etc etc . I don't think so - at least not after just 6 months. ...
