paultheroyal Lets hope for a welcome surprise tonight and at least see him named on the bench.

Better to be named on the bench rather than having his name put on a bench... get well soon Ovie.

Re: George Puscas leaving?

Management inadequacies/playing in the wrong system Went on about it with Baldock and it’s the exact same with Puscas. If you dissect his career here, he started in a duo with Joao, and whilst he had ups and downs in this period, there was promise. We then reverted to a 4-2-3-1 and he struggled unt...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

blythspartan I shall go to this one but expecting another defeat. I still get a buzz driving to the games but the hope has been well and truly knocked out of me. I’d love to witness a 3 - 0 to Reading but have no faith in Pauno anymore and his ability to motivate the players.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fulham (h)

I think it can go that way for sure but it can also go the other way and just send us on a horrific winless run, it will be up to the manager to get the players firing for Middlesbrough. The trouble is we simply don’t have a squad. We will have something like 14 out for Saturday’s game. I just cann...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fulham (h)

No, he's not. Blamed Tuesday on Araruna's injury. Blamed last night on Dann's. Nothing in that list is vitriolic. I'll add that he ignored concussion protocols and left a teenager on for the rest of the half. He didn't blame the whole result on Scott Dann's injury. Any manager would be correct howe...

Nameless Probably a lot to be said for having an older, experienced head on the team. Sounds like he’s almost doingbthe DofF job.

Simon's Church We've barely created a chance from open play in the last few week so this is obviously going all in on the set piece route. Very little else going for it

A lot of these players look alike. I mean they're all wearing the same clothes.

NewCorkSeth He does overplay it yeah but whoscored sees 5 completed dribbles against 1 failed dribble

Hence why his rating is and has been so high all season.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a)

People do under-rate him but whoscored gives completed dribbles a very high score which is why Ejaria is so high. Same for Richards actually, who is in team of the season so far. He also has a high pass success rate. I think we probably just expect more from him because he makes it all look so easy...

Re: How times change

It actually goes even further now. The lad of a friend of mine started "supporting" Paris St Germain when he was about 14. He doesn't even support Arsenal anymore (now they've become shit), let alone Reading. That's the impact of the Champions League coverage, although with that on BT Spo...

Oilroyal Thoroughly enjoyable game. It was like watching a Reading team of old..,.not too much pissing about. I’m happy with that and with a little improvement, over time we'll start picking up points. 3 at home and 1 away will do me!

RoyalBlue For the first time in ages teams will be starting to worry about playing us, rather than looking forward to it. Leeds fixtures permitting, expect to see some more stupid kickoff times as Sky realise Reading FC 19/20 are an entertaining team to watch!

Re: Bowen interview

From Despair To Where? I quite like this idea of a sporting director, someone who's not involved in the day to day running of the business or the footballing side but has inside knowledge of the game who can go out and look at best practice and see how we can implement it throughout the club.

Oilroyal Would love more of the same but without being too gung-ho. I think JG will have us do the basics right. Disciplined in defence, break up their play, win the seconds look to counter.
