Re: Rumour - Glenn Murray

Depends what other options there are. I'm struggling to think who may fit the bill. Given Puscas is still adapting, I doubt a young promising player is what we're looking for. Experience with a decent track record to fill in Joao's role for the second half of the season is what we need. Anybody els...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

With a bit of planning I think Reading would be a decent away day. Generally pretty easy to get to the town - loads of decent pubs there, the hop on the bus for 3pm I’d have thought the away end would be pretty good as well - good views, good atmosphere when they sing Can understand that Berkshire ...

sandman As an aside.

What is the point of an ignore function if you have the option to "display" the post?

So you don’t miss out on anything

 I supposed based on that, Southend are as good as Man United having got a 100% win rate against them. You are clueless. I thought he was on ignore? He is. Nice Whiteknighting there. I thought better of you. Not whiteknighting anyone. I was just wondering why you replied to someone who you had...

Re: Rival Watch

It's unusual for the best team to be in second having lost more than twice as many games as the team in first. They are still the best team in terms of out and out ability and based on the head to head records. You'll understand football one day Ian, keep trying champ. I supposed based on tha...

Really!? Meite? Bollocks, I was sure it was someone with more hair. I mean, he does get any black person with hair confused with other black people with hair constantly so I can see why you thought that. Last season the Ejaria/Blackett mix ups were unbearable. Tbf, one of my key ways of telling pla...

Re: Rival Watch

Zip Cardiff v Swansea matters. We do not want a Swansea win. A draw probably suits us best.

Cardiff have a relatively straight forward run in coming up after this (apart from us obviously) so a win for them may generate momentum for them. Agreed that a draw is the best outcome

Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

Pace is obviously valuable, but what the system really needs to a striker who can hold the ball up, link up play intelligently and physically compete with centre backs. Murray can do all this and is an excellent finisher to boot. His experience and nous will make up for a lack of pace. He would be ...

Old Man Andrews Welsh. Nobody cares.

Any Welsh people on the forum may do

Never found the rivalry very enthralling. Theres no genuine hatred or dislike really.

I think it’s an OK derby, find it better than the likes of Norwich Ipswich

Re: BFTG - Forest

My talking points 1) João my man of the match. Absolutely amazing ability to get on the end of a ball (according to Dellor) when he wasn't even on the pitch. 2) More seriously now, our style really misses João. 3) Post, great saves by their keeper. We deserved to win that with our second half perfo...

Re: BFTG - Forest

I do think we missed Joao yesterday. He is the best forward we have at holding up the ball and linking up with others. A shame he is injured just as he was making an impact. His injury was avoidable too, you could tell he was tiring and I think he was about to be subbed off anyway, thirty seconds l...

Re: Rival Watch

To be fair, Leeds never seem able to beat Monk, 4 points from this season for Monk, did the double over them last season etc Monk always seems to have a weird record of beating better teams, but losing to teams lower down in the table. From last year, when he was at Birmingham, I remember them losin...

Re: BFTG - Forest

Find some of the Puscas criticism odd - he did well and his control was good. Looking at the stats, he only lost the ball once so his hold up play was fine. Decent effort on goal as well Quite consistantly the same people that criticise him after every game. Maybe that’s because he hasn’t been play...
