Re: Rival Watch

Steven Fletcher injured for 10 weeks for Wednesday with a knee injury (currently 5th top scorer in the league)

Considering they only have Rhodes, Nuhiu and Winnall left at the moment, think they'll struggle up top. Although not sure where Forestieri is?

Re: FA Cup 19/20

According to the BBC, if we manage to beat Blackpool in the replay, our game against Cardiff/Carlisle will be 15:00 on the Sunday. That seems a little strange https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/fa-cup/scores-fixtures Also surprised if United beat Wolves, they're listed as a Saturday 3pm game. Pre...

Re: CONFIMRED - Rafael Cabral

Two I can think of are Brighton (H) (2 points)
Derby (A) - 3 points

Maybe that's it actually. 5 points then, thought there were a couple of others

Re: Rumour - Josh Laurent

Stoke may actually be slight favourites given he plays for Shrewsbury so would be minimal upheaval Other that that there isn’t really much difference between the supposed interested parties, least just on the face of things just don't get why we would let Barrett go, and then get this guy in. Diffe...

Re: CONFIMRED - Rafael Cabral

The problem with Stam's team was that first goal usually won and if the opposition got it, a few more would usually follow. 68 conceded in 31 games. Agreed, we seemed good at holding out leads but pretty inept at chasing goals Don’t know the stats itself for that season, but would estimate a high p...

Re: On this day

Looking at the 2016 FA Cup game played on the 9th, the amount the squad has changed is remarkable Reading: A Al Habsi, A Taylor, C Gunter, J Cooper, A Ferdinand, M Vydra, D Williams, S Quinn (Lucas Piazon, 68), G McCleary, O Norwood, H Robson-Kanu. Subs not used: J Bond, N Keown, Alex Fernandez, S ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Rafael Cabral

Well he was nominated for a PotM in November 2016, was in the EFL Championship Team of the Season for 2016-17 and was POTS for Reading in a season where we finished 3rd, so yeah, dreadful. I know it's an unpopular opinion but it's one I stand by. A nice guy off the pitch, without doubt, but on it h...

Re: CONFIMRED - Rafael Cabral

No it was pretty much just those two who got us to the heights we did that season. The others played at their level, Al-Habsi and Yann were way above expectations. Did you go to any of the games? Many people seem to forget that Kermorgant only had 9 goals until the latter stages of the season, wher...

Re: CONFIMRED - Rafael Cabral

Reading have this weird knack of finding excellent goalkeepers. We've really been spoiled over the years. Hahnemann, Federici, McCarthy, Al-Habsi, Martinez, and now Rafael. Virginia the exception of course... Mannone, Walker, Bond, Jaakkola were also exceptions of course. Andersen and Stuart Taylor...

Old Man Andrews
John Smith
Hendo
Would've thought that AAH got one?

I wouldn't have. He was dreadful.

Along with Kemorgant he got us into a playoff final, John.

And the other 9 players, of course

Re: Rumour - Josh Laurent

“It is, however, Neil Harris’s Cardiff that would, on current form, present Lauren with the best chance of playing Premier League football next season” Is this the same Cardiff with one win in six who just got trounced 6-1 by QPR against the same Reading with four wins in a row. What a nonsense stat...

Up against Woodgate, Bielsa and Rowett

All got 11 points except Woodgate who got 13, so I expect Woodgate to win it

Re: Weekend Football

Undeserved despite being 1-0 up for the majority of the game and playing well? They played OK Villa but they rode their luck and anyone could see 21 shots to 3 shouldn’t result in a draw whatsoever Were an injury hit Aston Villa meant to go to Leicester and play open and expansive football? All thi...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

That's an interesting point about tactical subs becoming obvious. Hadn't thought of that. I suppose the ideal is to have a striker on the bench with a particular play style that is essential to plan b? Or just have Alfie.. I guess I prefer it because, in my head at least, it maximises the positiona...
