Re: CONFIMRED - Charlie Adam

Reading the first few pages of this thread is hilarious. Just goes to show 90% of us have absolutely no clue about football. I think we all deserve some humble pie. To be fair, when you look at the evidence against the signing, such as his lack of playing time in recent years, the lack of depth we ...

Re: BFTG Fulham

Did forget about the injury to Dack, but Blackburn seem to have followed a common theme in their last 18 months in the Championship, having the ability to win 6 then lose 6, even with Dack Even Bristol, went to CC a few weeks ago, picked up 3 points and have now lost 5 out of the last 6. As you said...

Re: Rival Watch

Didn’t watch WBA Leeds but didn’t sound a thriller and predictably ended a draw Could do with someone taking Watkins and Benrahma off Brentford, they’re lethal, together with Mbuemo. As I thought earlier in the season, Jansson has really solidified their defence Good to see Lee Johnson miserable too...

Re: Upset the Apple cart.

Could be an option to bring in Miazga for Millwall in a couple of weeks for his height

Millwall looked v dangerous from the highlights today from crosses into the box with that lump Smith up top

Although, especially if we beat Forest first, there wouldn’t be too much justification for it

Re: BFTG Fulham

What’s the average for the playoffs normally? Right now, 6th place is averaging 71 points after 46 games but I thought it’s usually a bit higher than that Whatever the figure is, it’s perfectly doable though. Our next three league games are huge for us. It’s so strange how we’re 14th and yet only 8 ...

Re: Form

One for the stats guys...in the past have we ever won all our 4 Christmas/New year games? Thinking back to promotion seasons and even in the 106 season we dropped points at Derby... Before this season I believe that the most recent runs of 4 or more consecutive wins over the Xmas/new year period we...

Re: Upset the Apple cart.

I see. I think Ian's point about needing to earn your place to get back into a winning team is valid up to a point but more so perhaps in amateur sport and not so in the hard world of professional sport. I agree with Seth that Klopp or Guardiola or Mourinho would go with what he perceives to be the...

These fans are the same flids that were crying after our PO win over them because we didn’t “play football”

What a weird, precious bunch some of them are

Re: Next Five Games: Fulham - Cardiff

Why have the FL started scheduling fixtures on FA Cup 4th round day? Bet most are postponed. Certainly with both Reading and Bristol C at home to lower league opponents in the 3rd round the chances are that their fixture at the Mad Stad will be off. They’ve always done that to be fair, last year we...

Re: Rival Watch

So much is about momentum though. This^ Very very hard to arrest a really poor run in this league esp if it is with players coming back from long term injuries. Very much depends on the spirit and character of the group Don’t know much about Charlton’s players but Bowyer doesn’t strike me as a sort...

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but plenty of L1 and L2 teams interested in Barrett, likely to let him go

Re: Blackett to Turkey.

Don't know anything about him personally but surely having come through the Man Utd system, England U21s and talked of as a future England international (as all Man Utd English players are  ) he must surely be pissed off at , approaching his prime, being at times 2nd or 3rd choice left-back a...

Re: Form

Shows just what an aberration that Brum game was. Only other defeats to teams in better form. Reflecting on it now and at the time, it was an awful result But looking at the bigger picture, Birmingham had only lost 2 of their last 7 before our game, so there are two ways of looking at it When you f...

Re: BFTG - Preston (a)

Press conferences are easy when you win. When Stam started people loved his press conferences. When Clement started, people loved his press conferences and said he was refreshingly honest and open. Same for Gomes. Now same for Bowen. If he starts doing badly (which hopefully won't happen), he'll be...

Re: BFTG - Preston (a)

Just listening to Bowen’s interview He’s genuinely the first manager for a while I enjoy listening to. Rather than just bland cliches he does give a bit of insight into what the plans were etc The stuff about just keeping positions and ‘enjoying defending’ are quite interesting imo Clarke and Cleme...
