Re: The rest of the season?

Winning is great. Losing is pooh (especially if it's at home, week after week). Regardless of division.

Re: Back from the Game - Villa

Great first half and showed some spirit after shipping 3. But we were simply terrified for 15 mins. Terrified of Villa, terrified of the ball.

Just hope all these extra games, suspensions and injuries don't catch up with us. Plan B of Gunnarsson and Rasiak Sunday was very depressing.

Well I went back to the place last night and I think they've done it up. And Carlsberg is £4 a pint.

Re: Reading Fixture on date of birth

1 - 0 win over Southport, 18.1.69. Son was born day after our 4 - 0 defeat at home to Arsenal. It is amazing how I can recall the details of many games mentioned – England v Ireland, watched it in Union bar, Poly of Central London, Port Vale away 78/79 crowned Div 4 champs that very day – yet can ne...

Re: Is this..?

For me it was the Autoglass Trophy home game against Orient. 900 deranged fans, easy parking and good touches from Mass Sarr.

Re: Wembley Memories

Dirk, I know of no other RFC song that has ever been sung with such fervour. A quality ditty.

Tonight I am going to Wembley for the first time since 95. Has it changed much?

Re: Simon Church

Worked his socks off and scored a fabulous goal. His non-stop running knackers the fck out of defenders, opening up gaps for other lightning fast players like Kebe. And Rasiak!

Nicely put Rev. Reminds me of something the great philosopher Gazza once said: "I get on a train and travel 2nd class and people say - all his money and he's still too tight to go 1st class. So next time I go 1st class and they say – look at that flash sod!"

Correct Tony (great name by the way, remember that fella from Chris Morris etc).

For a few minutes I honestly thought Reading had scored. Although we were a little bit widdled.

Re: Favourite Away Ground

Craven Cottage when it was terracing on away end. Or Griffin park because of the 4 pubs and tight away end (although I think that might be a home end now) and Villa Park because the place is immense. Stood on the Holte End when it was a terrace - just huge. Fondest memories are the Walkers, of cours...
