Re: BFTG - Arsenal (a)

Think the team selection was fine. Pretty much the team I wanted to see with who was available. Stam let his intentions known in advance, and it would not be fair to the likes of Harriott and Kelly to be dropped when they were the ones which got us through to the game in the first place.

Re: BFTG - Arsenal (a)

I thought we were ok. Nothing more really. Still it was an enjoyable game for me, despite sitting amongst surely the most clueless home support in the country and the train issues While it could be claimed it was 'Arsenal' reserves, you are still talking about England internationals, 17mill strikers...

Re: Rotherham (A) Predictions

unless we score in the first 15 or so, feel we will lose this one

Therefore 1-0 to Rotherham with a horrible scrappy second half goal, befitting of the local area

Re: Arsenal (A)

yeah only 20 pound tickets left in the home end. I don't think they'll last too long either - plenty of the stadium showing low availability now

stuck in the north bank end as well. Still should be a nice evening out.

Re: Arsenal (A)

I don't understand the sniping - a tenner to watch Reading play in one of the best and arguably the easiest grounds to get to in the country. Whats not to like? got 4 tickets in the home end behind the goal. Obviously means I have to deal with sitting next to Hugo and Tarquin and their city boy mate...

Re: Arsenal (A)

Arsenal I think.

To be fair, £10 entry to watch a game at the Emirates - it's no wonder they're popular

Sure the arsenal ends will sell out quickly as well - being half term and the difficulty in getting a ticket there for most matches

Re: Arsenal (A)

would just be me and my young son, so home end wouldn't be so bad.

been to Arsenal before in the home end. They really are the most clueless (but harmless) bunch of supporters I've ever met by a distance. Doubt half of them will have even heard of Reading before.

Re: Arsenal (A)

Can you buy in the Arsenal end anyone know? I can't work out from their site if you need to be a member or not.

It says they are on 'general sale' tomorrow but no idea whether that is really 'general sale' or still only for some tier of member

Re: BFTG - Brentford (a)

First half up to the goal was very very even. They didn't really have any clear cut chances up until then. If we'd gone in 1 up with Evans header they couldn't have grumbled really 2nd half they had their 2 goal head start and were able to relax and play their decent football - which fair play to th...

Re: BFTG - Brentford (a)

The new ground won't be too far from Griffin Park.

There are some decent Fullers pubs about the area with the brewery just down the road. Good job really, as its a pretty charmless part of London, pretty much ruined by the A4&M4

Re: BFTG - Brentford (a)

I expect the police were mainly due to it being stuck right in the middle of a residential area. Proper old school ground, equally surprised the home fans were so quiet. There's a lot to admire about Brentford (can we ask them nicely to be our new rivals, rather than dismal Swindon who we have very ...

Re: BFTG - Brentford (a)

Would broadly agree with that. The highlights on SS are a fair reflection of the game

The basis of a good team is there - just needs some fine tuning.

Quinn is very unlucky not to be starting imo, and Beerens needs a rest - he looked very lethargic

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by a Cureton special

On the way back from the game now. First half we were solid and matched a good Brentford side - if Evans header has gone in 2 mins before they scored it'd clearly have been a very different game. Second half the crispness in the passing seemed to disappear - and a couple of players - notably Obita w...
