Re: Wolves - back from the sofa

I enjoyed the game. We played some splendid stuff in parts and looked a good side. Cut out the individual errors and we'd probably be a Top 6 team. There's plenty enough promise and 33 games left for that development to take place. Muppets writing us off from promotion already are pathetic and obvi...

Re: Wolves - back from the sofa

Actually I found it quite entertaining our comedy defending aside. People shouldn't forget we are still missing a bunch of players due to injury. When Karacan and Williams return it will give us some steel in the midfield. We need to tighten up in the back. We are doing much better than I expected ...

Re: BFTG-Fulham

Two minor criticisms. Felt we should have pushed on more in the last 20 as I felt we could have scored more, but we lacked impetus. Not sure I quite agree with that. It's not the most pleasing on the eye for the fans, but it was a good exercise in learning how to hold out for the win & clean sh...

Re: New Training Ground

I can't believe the club haven't paid any money at all for the land. Surely before you can put in a planning application, you have to own the place first? No, I believe you can apply for planning on any land, you don't have to own it. That doesn't mean you can build on that land once planning permi...

Mr.Swainey
JakeTheRoyal Feller on twitter you know the one says Dean Hammond is joining soon. Makes sense injury crisis plus was Adkins captain at Soton

Come up with something a little more believable.

He didn't say who or what he was joining.

Re: Buyout

Elmer Park Not sure of the significance or if it's already been covered but Companies House are showing a registration of a charge on RFC Holdings dated 10th June.

I think that was just the three Directors leaving the Board

Re: Buyout

Thanks for the tip - it wasn't needed. I had zoomed before commenting and it still didn't look very much like a UK power extension block on the floor. Indeed, I would suggest the socket holes on the blurry image look more like this: http://maytermthailand.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/electric3prongs...

Re: Beer

Have any of you been to the Rebellion Brewery in Marlow. I went last Tuesday, great evening. £15 to get in and for that you get 5 beer vouchers (6 different ales available) plus a free Rebellion pint glass. We were able to get a few extra vouchers by talking to people who weren't using all of theirs...

Re: Accounts

No prizes for guessing where the £5m cash went then. And paying Directors £517k in 2013 as opposed to the zero when SJM and Hill-Woods ran things.... I wouldn't know a TSI director if I fell over one. Do they still attend games? I don't know who it was paid to but it is just as likely that it was p...

Re: Beer

quite sad to see the lack of half timers flocking to wbbrew, Slipped up there - had one before the game but as they'd sold out on the previous occasions before we'd even got to the ground I just went straight to the main bar at HT without even thinking to check if they were still serving. Then went...

Re: Buyout

Try the 80s. He was sniffing around when the merger with Oxford was on the cards. I actually met him in the old Supporters Club bar after a game and he signed my membership card. The Old Supports Club, under the North Stand, now that takes me back. Straight in there after the game, scores from BBC ...

Re: Accounts

another one for the OP - do we know our carried forward losses then? I'd say a £2.3m loss is a good effort by the club & it's in pretty good health. Especially given the CAT A investment & the clear spike in player wages. Frustrating OP isn't it - he claims no inside information but on the ...

Re: Accounts

To the OP - do you have the long term liabilities and director's loan numbers on there too? Would be interested to see what those are... I don't know about Directors Loans but Other Long Term Finance is £40.2m (up from £39.7m) Also, interestingly Bank Loans are £4,501,194 (up from £26,934) so we ar...

Re: Accounts

I have no insider knowledge as to what the figures include. As regards the wages don't forget that the backroom staff probably got bonuses from promotion and the staff numbers probably increased due to the increased activity in the promotion year.

Accounts

I see that the latest financial accounts have been filed for last year and we made a loss of only £2.3m

The main figures I have seen are:

Turnover £59.2m (up from £14.7m)
Wages £46.1m (up from £26.5m)
Loss £ 2.3m ( down from £11.7m)

Re: Buyout

Has anyone considered that all things may not be good with Baby and mother. I'm not suggesting that something is wrong (not ITK) but we haven't even seen any photographs of either since the birth. If something had happened, I would expect him to keep a low profile for a few months and this may expl...

Agreed. There's also a difference between being fit and being match fit.
