Canada games are: Wed 23 Nov 22 - GMT 7pm - Canada v Belgium Sun 27 Nov 22 - GMT 4pm - Canada v Croatia Thu 01 Dec 22 - GMT 3pm - Canada v Morocco So, eliminated on 27 November, and back in England on 2 December. Re: Did you know?

Going back to Cowdenbeath, did the person originally copying that one miss out something about "in one word"?

Because Wycombe Wanderers and Cambridge United also both have each of a, b, c, d and e.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Mr Angry Can anyone remember who the Reading keeper was who tripped up the gobby Luton Town mascot all those Years ago, when said mascot was giving it large to the Reading fans behind the goal?

I think it might have been Phil Whitehead.......

Scott Howie (reserve keeper on the night).

Re: Rival Watch

Any time an organisation fails to pay wages on time it's a sign that there is something seriously wrong. Even when they come back with some platitudes about an administrative error, you just know that there is more going on. Exhibit A, April 2019 - Reading fail to pay salaries, and blame it on a Hon...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

When is the Arsenal hoodoo going to end? Neither our men or the woman have ever beaten them! I know the men have lost all their games against the Gunners. Is it the same for the women? Must be well over twenty matches between them Women is now 11 loses and 2 draws against them. Reading women beat A...

Nameless I’m sure we got a red card in a league cup game not long ago. If it wasn’t Holmes it must have been McIntyre ?

McIntyre, FA Cup, January 2020.

Stranded (no way he goes 9 games without a yellow)

But he could avoid suspension in the traditional Reading manner, by getting injured.

Stumbled across a 1979 film Yesterday's Hero. It's a football film, so obviously it's rubbish. However, the opening shots are of York Road, and a later sequence is filmed at Stag Meadow.

Sutekh In addition former Royal Jake Taylor now plies his trade for Stevenage after spending 5 years at Exeter.

Centre-back VanCouten is ex-Reading as well.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

I went to Sandhurst for the "U23" match against Bracknell yesterday. Reading lost 4-2. Embarrassingly enough, I didn't recognise all the players, but starting line-up included Boyce-Clarke, Craig, Holzman, Jahmari Clarke, plus probably Camara and Abbey. Osorio came on as a second-half sub,...

Re: Fin Stevens

Abrefa normally plays right-back for the youth teams. Has also been pushed further forward, and was effectively a wing-back when he came on last season.

Today he's played left back for the first team. Couldn't quite work out if he went to centre-back when Leavy came on.

Supposedly released by Reading at 16 - anyone know if that is right? Official site obviously doesn't.

Re: Berks and Bucks senior cup 2021/22

who has the better record historically, Berks teams or Bucks teams? On current boundaries, I make it: Bucks - 71 Berks - 64 Oxon - 1 There was one year it was shared but it was two current Berkshire teams, so that counts as 1 for Berks. On historic counties, it's: Bucks - 85 plus 1 shared Berks - 5...

Luton's draw last night means that Fulham now need a maximum of four points from their remaining eight games, for promotion. If they win at Boro tonight, they can secure a third promotion in five seasons on Easter Sunday at home to Coventry. Fulham still need 9 points because of Forest's games in h...

Looks like a referee change - David Webb on the teamsheet. Keith Stroud was 4th official at Hull last night, not too far from Barnsley, a bit surprised by that one. EDIT, still Stroud according to the beeb. Definitely Stroud in charge. Webb did Barnsley's last home game, so they obviously forgot to...

NathStPaul A study needs to be done into why Huddersfield are so good. They have absolutely no right to be on paper.

Based on the match in Reading, they bring their own referee with them to their games.

I'm also very pleased to see the return of Rowe, who certainly adds some vigour. In an interview last week, Chambers was quoted as saying it was a full-strength side. Now in addition to Rowe, there were Cooper and Peplow on the bench, but there was no Chaplen. Is she still a Reading player? She is i...

So we have U23 games on Monday, Friday, Monday. U18 games on Thursday and Saturday. Plus plenty of Academy players will be involved in the first team on Saturday / Tuesday / Saturday / Wednesday. Obviously the first team League games are the priority, although you would think that the Youth cup matc...

Franchise FC That was the year of the TV strike (cameramen, I think), although I thought it was over by the time of the Plymouth game

Typical right-wing lying propaganda. It wasn't a strike, it was because the TV companies weren't prepared to meet football's asking price and terms for coverage.
