Re: The Great, Big Royal International Thread

There's no shortage of credible Welsh right backs - Adam Matthews, Jazz Richards, Adam Henley, Neal Eardley, Connor Roberts, and depending on if he's needed elsewhere, Neil Taylor. Matthews is currently without a club and Richards is injured so it's a little bleak for them right now, but they're a ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Went to Maidenhead today. Great game and win. They couldn't go up could they? It was be incredible. They got some tidy players. That Josh Kelly and their keeper are very good. Interesting that he's become a Northern Ireland U21 international this year. Saw him for Walton Casuals a couple of years a...

Re: On this day

The biggest issue IIRC, was that we wouldn't have been allowed to play at Elm Park in the PL. Am sure there was a tentative deal in place for us to use Loftus Road. If we had gone up, that season may well have been a disaster. Not sure Elm Park being "banned" by the PL was ever very likel...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

I'll be honest and say that when Gomes came in I thought he'd take us down (and that sacking Clement at the time was the wrong decision), and if he did give us a fighting chance I thought those 2 weeks under Marshall may come back to bite us. Just didn't think a foreign manager with no knowledge of ...

Hound I think Bod has to go whatever sadly. Like him but he’s constantly broken, and we have Novakovich back next year who must be as good an option

I've also never really been convinced that Gomes particularly rates Bod.

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

did a quick google search on Ezatolohi and reminded me he first got injured in mid October, and the diagnosis was out for the next 3-5 games. Now been 5 months and counting. Even by our standards, that's pretty impressive Two different injuries isn’t it ? Dunno. Fair to say the info on him has hard...

NL Results from this W/E: Saturday 23rd February FA Vase Quarter Finals West Auckland Town 0-2 Chertsey Town - :D great result for the last remaining 'featured' club - put out the surviving 'Geordie Mafia' too - who were also the Bookies pre-round favourites. - The 'Curfews' have now been installed...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Know someone who was at the Mansfield-Forest Green game on Saturday, Lewis Ward currently playing for FG. Said that he made a couple of very good saves but his kicking was woeful. Tried to claim a foul for the only goal of the game but didn't think it was (and from seeing the highlights didn't think...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Blurb up on the website about Tom McIntyre - definitely one of our own, in that he is a fan as well as an academy product, and has been playing since he was 6, even before he could officially sign, at 8. Worth a read, and nice seeing the photos of him with players in the past like Murty and Ingimar...

Re: RUMOUR - Lewis baker

Always remember seeing Upson in a game at Gillingham, which I think may have been the only time I saw him live. As said, he oozed class. He went off injured in that game and as we were 1-0 up I was worried that his absence would be a big loss but we ground it out for the rest of the game to get the ...

Re: Clear out started

I was told that there were rumours going round that McDermott was having some personal issues second time round that could conceivably have led to a lack of respect for him and contributed to his sacking. No idea if it's true, but it would make the decision to sack him a little less baffling. I don...

Looks like a personal message on Instagram so he's either been betrayed by someone he considers a friend or as you say, it could be a fake account. Having just done a quick Google search it appears that's not his account on Insta, there's one called vitomannoneofficial. Does seem rather harsh on hi...

West to the Eastbourne derby on Boxing Day, with Eastbourne's 2nd and 3rd clubs battling it out in front of an amazing step 5 crowd of 856 . That's a hell of a crowd for that level! Are the teams full of local lads and so it's a proper derby game with lots of local interest, or is it just a freak o...

 Saw the name and thought, "I'm sure I've seen him mentioned somewhere...". Double-checked and he's recently joined my local non-league team on a 6 week loan from Walton Casuals! He's actually meant to be going back on trial with Barnsley in the new year, but surely if he was that g...

Lower West
Snowflake Royal We're so badly run. The club is unrecognizable from the one I fell in love with.

I'm thinking the same towards the game in general. Much as once I loved F1.

BIB - I was thinking of posting that too. Have felt this season that club football is overrated.

And I agree with you about F1 too.
