Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Brilliant planning by Palace. Evidently De Boer was going to play different football to Big Sam, yet they've given him only four games (and truly only two awful performances) in which to turn it around. If you bring in a manager who is going to play a different style you surely have to accept that ...

Re: BFTG (H) Brizzle

Watched the game on iFollow and frankly still can't figure out how we lost that. We absolutely tore them to shreds at the start of the 2nd half and should have been out of sight. JDB's miss will haunt him for the rest of his career, hit it so badly that it didn't even roll towards the player on the ...

Re: England - the future....

I don't believe in any other major European country would Rashford be struggling to win starts at his club - read down the teamsheets at Bundesliga or La Liga clubs and you find predominantly domestic players. No way that the likes of Rooney or Owen would be getting the gametime now that they did w...

Re: World Cup 2018

Argentina struggling in South American Qualifying. A home draw against Venezuela leaves them in fifth, with two games to go. Next up for them is a game against the team in forth, Peru, lose that and they are looking at a play off place at best. Play-off place is as good as a free pass to the finals...

Re: Next 6 Games

Looking at those fixtures, anything less than 10 points would be a poor return. In isolation you look at each game and think yep we can win that, can I see us winning 5 straight though, no will draw a couple or maybe lose one. Going to say 11 points, undefeated but draws at Millwall and home to Hull...

Re: The 2017/18 season preview/expectation and build up thread

Overall we've made what was a 3rd place squad stronger this year with more players who will fit the way Stam wants us to play. Think it will see us finish in pretty much the same spot at the end of the season. If we could have got a striker with a decent track record at this level in then automatic ...

Re: Rumour - Vincent Janssen

He was the deal Brighton extended on. Rejected them. So they didn't get a striker. Brighton 0 - looks likely to be a regular occurance this season. They already have a doomed feeling about them. I sincerely hope so. Ghastly bunch. You should take a look at NSC then - a lot of them seem suicid...

Re: 8.00 Evening kick offs

I reckon we should move to 9pm instead. None of this pussyfooting around with 15 minutes here or there. Is the norm over here and across Europe for games to kick off at 8.45 or 9pm as gives people plenty of time to get to the game still. Wouldn't work in the UK I guess as public transport is genera...

Re: How many will we sign?

5 players scored 20 goals in the Championship last season. None of them are viable targets . Of the players we are heavily linked with they got 12,11 and 11 goals, last season. Thinking we could sign a player who has scored 20 in a season is just utterly unrealistic. We need to find players like Yan...

Anyone else getting the feeling that our top whack is £8m (which is plenty) and we'll probably going to miss out on all our main targets as a result.

This thread is a disgrace. Yann Kermorgant, Yann Kermorgant, Yann Kermorgant. Yann Kermorgant Yann Kermrogant, Yann Kermorgant. Yann Kermorgant. I love Yann but we need more than just him up top! If only we could sign an Icelandic international centre forward. Perhaps he could score on his debut fo...

Re: Rumour - Vincent Janssen

lolwut I'm hearing we've enquired about a season long loan if Spurs get Llorente. Would do well at this level.

We may have enquired but apparently WBA have bid £23m for him, so err, nah, not happening.

Re: RUMOUR - Jordan Hugill

'Wait what. This guy has scored a whopping 15 goals in 73 championship games and there is talk of people bidding 8million??? No thanks.. Exactly this .. Hugill has scored something like 34 goals in 129 apps since 2013 with most of those being below Championship level .. hardly a prolific scorer .. ...

Re: Rumour - Tomer Hemed

From Despair To Where? If we end up with Hemed after going for Oliviera it will be like going on Bullseye and winning a Teasmaid when you were aiming for a speedboat.

They scored the same number of goals last season I believe, so either would be good. Though as of now, neither looks likely.

The Prisoner Lots of people still saying "Sign a Striker"!

Have faith. Been an excellent window so far.......just a case of whether it is Oliveira or Hugill to complete the picture.....

Or Hemed or someone else we haven't even thought of.

maffff Another bid rejected for Hemed.

Looks like we're back into exploring other options again then.

Only a day lost.

I would say we are still looking at a number of options, and will progress the one that gets the most traction. Still wouldn't surprise me if something comes out of the blue tomorrow.

Re: RUMOUR - Nelson Oliveira

2 world wars, 1 world cup With the record breaking big money signing of Aluko you guys really think we are thinking of signing this guy too?

Genuine question, would love it if it was true!

Yes there is a very good chance, but also wouldn't be too surprised if no-one else comes through the door.
