Re: Long - Time to go.

Noel Hunt's tally also includes his Scottish days when he was playing as a winger, Snowball in manipulating stats to suit his agenda non-shocker  On top of that the others you've listed obviously include goals and games played at different levels and in some case different countries. Not havi...

Re: Long - Time to go.

And again, if you judge a player's performance on one measure (goals scored) then you're being dangerously simplistic. // Long's contribution to the team is far greater than many others' - I believe he is the best "support striker" going. It's just such a pity that he's being asked to pla...

Re: Long - Time to go.

You were talking about 1 in 2 starts before, now you are using stats for all appearances to examine players over time. Shabby work. YOU are mixing appearances and starts, and I'm responding To get all Snowball on your asses for a sec... Long: 79 (83) apps, 30 goals. 1 goal every 5.4 appearances, an...

Re: Long - Time to go.

112 Appearances 029 Goals (1 goal every 3.860 appearances) Simon Church Not arguing against your original point, but where are these stats from? Church has only scored 19 senior goals so far in his career, from 99 games. Long is 31 goals from 163. I've not bothered to look at any of the others. I t...

Re: Back from the game - Burnley Away

So it's not possible to enjoy the result while pointing out faults in the performance? Obviously I enjoyed the game, I normally seem to pick horrible performances for my irregular attendances so that's the best scoreline I've seen for a while. Not having to watch the 'dross' regularly probably help...

Re: Relegation form?

That defence we stuck with that had only ever played twice together before? Strange one to be calling the second best in the league! You are getting seriously silly now Hoop, arguing for the sake of it It's totally clear that today's back five are Mac's best back five as he sees it. Federici, Harte...

Re: Long - Time to go.

This season, Boothroyd, Mackie, Iwelumo lead the way currently a bit better than 1 in 2 previous seasons, doesn't look like many got that high But any striker might have one good season. How do they look over time? I am still looking for a current Championship player who has managed 1 in 2 2009-2010...

Re: Long - Time to go.

Urz, you picked some of the greatest strikers of the last 20 years!!!!!

There's a much simpler way to consider how rare one goal in two games is.

How many Premiership strikers last season scored 19+ goals last season?

How many Championship strikers scored 23+ league goals last season?

Often traveled on planes and never stayed sat own for more than thirty minutes

Only way to avoid grief

Re: Kebe - a mixed blessing?

2 world wars, 1 world cup Agree with all thoughts above.

A mixture of having to find another option, Burnley being bamboozled by facing a different side and the almighty Tabb.

Nah, it was Harte...

Re: Coach journeys

ZacNaloen If you're already carrying an injury then a long cramped journey will cause an adverse reaction, I know because it happens to me after just 30 minutes on the train to London

Or try a 4-Hour coach journey after a marathon.

Trick is, you get up and do exercises and stretch.

Re: Burnley v Reading Match Thread

Churchy. He has had a few scrabbled-in goals and a few very difficult or long shots. But he misses sitters and near-sitters. He seems to miss when he has more time, if that makes sense. mental thing? No different to most strikers. He's got great movement and is reasonably quick with a decent first ...

It's a possible, like last night QPR played, "Give it to Taarabaaaaaaat

But it may just be that we played our best midfield, and the radio was creaming themselves over Tabb's performance

Ryn
winchester_royal Saw an interesting stat this morning, apparently we have only conceded more than one goal once in the last 11 games.

If we could score we'd be laughing right now.

That's a pretty big 'IF' ;)
