Australia youth international winger signs

by RobRoyal » 29 Jan 2007 17:04

18 year old Oliver Bozanic signs, according to text from the club. A left winger. Anyone have any idea who he is...?

Also confirmed that Pierre Joseph-Dubois and Curtis Ujah have left. And that Bennett talks are ongoing.

A bit of a search on the net reveals he is in the Aussie under 23 squad and ppl seem to think he is one for the future.

Sounds good with some promise. Excellent opportunities to learn from the likes of Convey, Hunt and Seol too.

Fella in the yella.

From wikipedia:
Oliver Bozanic (born January 8, 1989 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is an football (soccer) player. He currently plays as a attacking midfielder for the Australian A-League club Central Coast Mariners. Bozanic was one of the locals drafted into the Mariners squad by team Manager Lawrie McKinna during the 2006/07 Pre-Season Cup as cover for a host of long-term injuries. He is captain of the Australian 2009 World Youth Championships development squad, which competed in a four-team tournament in Japan during 2006.

Sounds a handy prospect.Good our scouting is global.

Nicky Hammond offers good value for money

Great, another signing to strengthen the foundations of our first XI and help us stay in the Premiership next season.

Newcastle are close, I think they just need an asian player.

We've been watching him for a couple of years since he came over to trial for the acadamy. He was here for most of last season as well.

Sounds like a promising player, it really is reassuring that we are building for the future.

Sure I read about there being some Aussie kid over on trail a few months back, would assume it's the same guy. The U18 side does lack a left sided mid.
