How could anyone hate Seol?
That goal at West Ham went some way towards getting slimeball the sack.
Agree with Maguire-hate may be too strong a word but it is the natural opposite to love and presumably this topic is more about irrational dislike than rational justification.

irrational love - mass sarr and tony rougier. two players who seemingly had bags of talent, they were just never given the chance to use it.

irrational hatred - oster seems petulant, seol doesn't really fit in, kitson just seems a bit gangly, sidwell should show more loyalty (it IS more than just a job), shorey isn't really all that and i expect the right winger to skin him every time and ive never seen him win a header

Well done for admitting it-they were s*** and both had far too MANY chances.
I'd forgotten how much I detested Rougier-he too often kept good players out of the team.

Love - ivar if only for getting himself ko'ed against man city going in for a headder. 110% commitment. going back probably robin friday but only for being compleatly mental.

Hate - Bikey cos i always think he is going to do somthing silly and get sent off, although his performance against villa has changed that a little.

Love - Bobby Convey, I have always had an irrational liking of Convey, even in that first season when he was a bit rubbish I wanted him in the team. Then he came good last season and I loved him again. Even now, I see Hunt playing really well but want Convey back in the team and it pains me that he doesn't even make the bench.

I also loved Caskey in the same way when he played for us.

Hate - Stephen Hunt, mainly because he keeps Convey out of the team but also for some reason, no matter how well he plays I still cant help but think that he's actually not very good and will be found out soon. Totally irrational I know.

Also Seol, he's just lazy too often and even though technically he is probably the best player we have, he still frustrates me.

love convey too. not sure why, but esp last season, when he scored that screamer against milwall (who didn't?). really want him in the first team again, if we don't we will only loose him to another prem outfit.

Team board in interesting thread shocker.

love

Although my favourite player is Nicky Shorey, I can see when he does something wrong. And, perhaps because I think that he is so good, when he has a rare bad patch like before Christmas, it infuriates me.

However, I do have an irrational love for Kitson. Can't do anything wrong. Proper big and ugly centre forward. What sealed it for me was his West Ham 2-0 game. Not so much for his goals, but for when he appeared to be 20 yards away from the ball and, without running, was able to tackle the defender simply by stretching out his leg.

Historical: Gilkes - run, run, run, Gilkesy, keep running. Cross the ball now. Oh dear that was shit. Never mind.

hate

It's got to be Oster. What a oxf*rd. I firmly believe that there is no game that he couldn't lose for us if he really put his mind to it. What's that? You've played the ball back to Murty but he isn't there because he's run into a better position? Why don't you make up for it by shooting into the side netting instead of crossing the ball to the 3 players in the middle. You red-cheeked twat.

Historical: Steve Moran. You broke my heart Steve. You were shit and more importantly, you weren't Trevor.

Love: Shorey. Skillful, hard working and a brilliant team player.

My favourite player from my childhood is Stuart Beavon. Scored 20 yard screamers in the middle of scrappy dull matches, great perm and gave me a football once.

Hate: This is the greatest squad in the history of the club. I hate nobody in it. Was a bit annoyed at DLC's footballing but I like him for his charidee work and I see he has just put one in against Spurs reserves so :D

Love - Little, great player & great character too.

Hate - Convey, not so much for who or what he is but for the amount of weirdos on here who are obsessively infactuated by him. I really can't see why anyone would rave about him. Now Little's a proper winger, Convey is just a little boy lost and always has been since day one.

All time

Love Senior/Williams

Hate Bodin

Maguire Congratulations on missing the point of the thread. Sames goes for the guy defending harper earlier.

Of course "hate" is too strong, but hate is the opposite of love and thus they are your hate player.

Correction mate, or is it missus, some of us have no 'hate player', as is quite evident from many of the replies on here.

As for the others, it looks as if they too have missed the point of this thread, for which your patronising congratulations will presumably be earnt. Sooo now, and it's a big WHHHOOOOOOSSSSHHHH over there.

LOVE: Dave Kitson. When fit, the most complete footballer at the club.

HATE: hate is too strong, but Marcus Hahnemann. Great shot-stopper, all round good bloke, but doesn't command his area, stays on his line when he should come out, comes out when he can get nowhere near the ball and his communication at times is non-existant. Apart form that i think he's brilliant!
