Platypuss Kitson most likely out with a knee injury according to OS.

Hmm, perhaps strategic?

There is some good news though - Oster is back in training. He'll be like a new signing to us.

you are kidding???

oster is the biggest waste of space i have seen in a reading shirt since andy hughes

For all his faults he's still a naturally right sided player and that, as we all know, has been sadly missing.

Ideal opportunity to see what Matejovsky can do as an attacking midfielder, behind Doyle as the lone striker if we're going to play that way.

He's not played a game since December 9th and i can't see Coppell throwing him into the starting line-up without a reserve/arranged friendly game or 2 under his belt..

I hope there's a good chance he'll play a first team game for us before he does for the Czechs!

This is an international player and not somebody just dragged up from Brentford Reserves so he should easily be able to cope with a position in our midfield at least for 70 minutes or so.
I'm sure he would be up for it making his home debut against Man Utd and I doubt that he has spent the last month whoring and drinking-the latter being quite acceptable anyhow in English football.

I really didn't think it needed a smiley when read with the following sentence.

TBF to WR, I know you must have thought you were writing it with irony, but it doesn't look quite like that. I had to do a double take when I saw it was you that had written it given your previous ambivalence towards Oster.

The only people in a position to decide that are those that will actually see if he's up to speed or not each day on the training ground. If he is, he'll be involved but my guess is that he won't no matter how desperate we may be to see him play.

It's not like he's had much of a chance this season. Had a cracking game early on, was dropped, then injured and not seen since. This was a real chance for him to prove either way whether he was good enough, and unfortunately for him he's been deprived of the opportunity.

and i think he had a blinder vs chelea regardless of the missed chances

good to see him back in training, hope he proves my misgivings about him totally wrong

Bit harsh to expect him to commute from Ghana don't you think?

I don't know, he should show some dedication to the team.

Or I guess we could just play Cisse.

My right footed granny would be better than playing out of position players there.

Like every player, some rate him some don't. But for godsakes at least hes a natural right winger!!!

Expect a similar game plan to the Arsenal game:-

USA

Murty
De La cruz
Ingi
Bennet
Gunner
Cisse
Pearce

Harper
Hunt

Doyle

A bit defensive I know but it will be nose
bleeds for any royal that gets within 30 yds of the Utd goal, the ball will of course from a USA clearance, that no one will get near coz they will all be defending !!
No place for Matejovsky, he will be settling in and getting up to speed in his new Audi, the club getting his prioraties right, after what else has he come here for ??

The amusing thing is that is probably not too far away from the shite formation that will get played on Saturday.

Just hope the players know where they are supposed to be playing, unlike in the previous two games.

I'm sure this involves someone in the management team talking in detail to everyone before the game
