Personally, I think both Doyle and Hunt are pretty vital components of our team right now. With no time to replace them, let's just hope we make it through the next 100 minutes without any further weakening of the squad.

Squeaky's texted in to SSN to say RFC have gone home. No-one in or out.

SSN presenters suggest we shouldn't put on our RFC pyjamas just yet - another hour and a half to go...

EDIT : 1 hour to go. @ the site crashing

2234: Sky Sports News' man in the studio Andy Burton says Reading have got in touch with him to stay that there will be no movement in or out of the club tonight.

That seems to put an end to speculation linking Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt with a return to the Premier League.

God I haven't been this nervous since I took my driving test

Archie's penalty
Tamworth_Royal If we sell Hunt, Harper or Doyle tonight it will send out a statement that the Board have given up

And thus if we keep them it is a statement of intent?

Yes I guess you can say if we sold £10 million plus worth of players and spend 10% of that on new players........ thus it is a statement of intent

Looks like that's it, big sigh of relief that we didn't lose anyone. Now we can relax! :)

I'd wait for the next hour or so before we breathe that collective sigh of relief. Just because Sky Sports news or BBC haven't mentioned anything, something could still have happened.

...but there has been a rumour or two about that one today, hasn't there? If Hunt or Doyle were off we'd have heard something by now. We're safe, at least until Jan.

If Nick Hammond says we've shut up shop for the night, that's good enough me

So Nick Hammond says we've shut up shop at 10:30pm, say at 10:45pm a fax comes in for S.Hunt for £5m, thus releasing the clause in his contract, Hunt has to be told about it, etc. etc. Until I see it on the official site I will hold back. I do believe Hammond was telling the truth and that is great news, but I'd rather wait and see

No probs, you sit there bricking it for the rest of the night whilst those who haven't thrown common sense out of the window accept that, if our DoF knows the window has shut as far as we are concerned then, that is the case......................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
