Hornets, bees and Saracens (not the rugby players).
3-0 victory with Sidders scoring 2
Keith Scott re-appearing after many years
disastrous home support

....A short drive to the game,
....Free parking in my hospital staff car park,
....Seeing us play football as per Tuesday rather than our usual tactic of trying to out-hoof Watford.
....Hearing constant "Stevie Coppells Barmy Army!" to drown out the intermittant "yello army!"
....Seeing Doyler score his third hat-trick of the season!

Shaka
Super_horns There was a 4-2 game at our place in1996 when we were relegated.

Anyone remember that..re-arranged game from a Boxing Day I think?

The only way 6 goals will come on Saturday is if your attacking force as per Tuesday night.

That was was my first ever away match. I don't remember much about it apart from Devon White scoring a couple

Devon White ! Crickey there's a blast from the past. He was a big old boy .. Bristol Rovers for most of his career I think .

Jackson Corner 2-0 down at half time FSB brings Gilkes on Osbourne and Archie bring it back to 2 each 2,000 Royals go mental!

"2-0 to the GoLOLden Boys"

Anyway, no mention yet of Wilf Rostron, a shocking oversight IMO

The Watford fans in the tier above us were flicking us the bird at 2-0 up, funny they didn`t want to know at 2-2, and you`re both right we all went chicken oriental!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Devon White wasn't much good for us...but would probably be pretty useful tomorrow as we only have one striker!

You guys are worried we will play long ball stuff...well we might but I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

Have a decent trip and yes our atmosphere will probably be funeral like usless we somehow play well...as per Ipswich/Charlton games.

Arriving at a dump of a town late and leaving as quickly as possible. Preferably with three points.

The Faith Healer Barry Endean

Memories of a wet midweek 5-0 (?) defeat in 1972 (?) being expunged, maybe. Cup game I think, but when they mattered, we
didn't play the reserves etc.............

More anon if I really get into this.

Probably won't.

well I went to two League cup ties there within a short period in about 1977 (one was the replay after a two legged draw on aggregate iirc). I think we lost 5-0.

I also reckon that those of us who came in the car with me and my brother were the only away supporters in the ground.
