What Football Manager thinks of us

by rhroyal » 14 Nov 2008 22:26

I know it's just a game but it's the best researched computer game I know. I think it counts as the team. Here's their scouting analysis:

Kebe is shite - I wouldn't be surprised if this was done before the start of the season and he'll be updated next time round, as that's obviously not true.

Bikey is 5 times the player of Sonko - 100% truth.

James Henry is class - Should we give him a try?

Lita has appalling stats and is worth selling straight off

Karacan also has a fair amount of potential

Cisse looks like a perfect defensive midfielder at Championship level.

Nobody in our squad is anywhere near as technically gifted at Matejovsky

Doyle is a good all-rounder who is better than the Championship

N. Hunt has a lot of technical ability and a massive workrate, but pace 12 and strength 14 means he's not physically unstoppable.

Shlong's not a disaster but not good enough to be a starter.

Rosenior is physically quick and strong enough to cope with any winger but Murty is far better on the ball.

We could do with a new keeper.

Gunnarsson is slow but class at just about everything else.

I'm not reading all that.

I'll make my own assessment once I've got the damned thing running.

Note the time. It was ten to six when I started the install.

Kebe is pretty quick, but they have him as bloody left footed.

I have been a fan of fm/cm since 97 but after the last version where injuries & 1 shot at goal ruined the season i gave up.

So anyway i downloaded the game & played the demo & after the demo Reading won the league by 22pts. ;)

I preferred the more simple old versions.

First game of the season Forest away, Marek injured in the first half. Maybe it's become more realistic this time......

it takes too long, too in depth, no fun

i wish they'd just made minor changes to cm2 season 9798 that was the best one

You laugh at this guy - but u heard on 5live that Everton our using the underlying database to do some scouting. FM have over 1000scouts globally which look at youth and above so they do do a lot of research.

That is because it is meant to be realistic.
