You need to chill, he's in the middle of preparing for a game for the Republic of Ireland. You can't expect him to do that as well as "oxf*rd off" as you so eloquently put it.

brendywendy bidding war please!

This isn't fantasy football or FM Live, a bidding war will only help line Hunt and his agent's pockets, not ours. Where they'll be upping the price is in his wages, not what they're offering us. If club A offered £3m, then we'd pressumably accept £3m from club B (supposing they're not a direct threat to us, but even then we'd probably accept).

haing never played either ive no idea what the fcuk youre on about

but wouldnt a higher bid from club B automatically put them in the box seat, and mean we were no longer interested in club A's bid?

We can't very easily retract an agreement after a fee's been agreed. That's not how it works.

We can't go back to them and say "We're sorry, but we've received a bid that is higher than yours. We'll have to withdraw our agreement to sell you the player, unless you'd like to match it?" :?:

I must take exception to Partridge's comments. I rather enjoyed Hetty Wainthrop Investigates.

We should sell to club B (especially if they are a direct threat to us).

Some people still enjoy the most excrutiatingly awful things, should perhaps have been what I said.

And no, I don't have experience of that, though I used to know someone who went in fot it. Or so he told me.

Sky Sports seem to think Hull will sign both Hunt and another lad tomorrow - which paves the way for Smith and McAnuff to head our way.
