Thought he was one of the best refs I have seen for a while.

Blotted his copybook late on mind when he gave us a free kick right out on the touchline after their fullback had bodily shoved Jimmy into the stand only for the ball to run lose to Noel who was bearing down on goal. Complete opposite to the way he had handled the game prior as he seemed very keen to let the game flow by playing advantage.

Whilst not a difficult game to officiate, what he did generally he did well.

We did have a penalty appeal turned down for hand-ball I think, up the other end. Haven't seen it, so am unsure whether the ref got it right or not.

This was an easy game to handle for the referee as the players wanted to play football instead of kicking each other to bits.
