Finch
rfc2001 What a dickhead and what a pointless thread. All the Reading fans on this forum are actual reading fans who support and watch reading for the enjoyment. Most fans on here watched reading back in days of league 2 ECT. If we do plummet down, then we have the enjoyment of watching our local team rebuild and climb the leagues again!

END OFF THREAD NOW F*CK OFF

And for the record, most people on here don't bother with the games.

is this true? Or just 'facts' you've made up?

Finch you are an example of why I don't post regularly to this site, HOWEVER, on your account I will now. I was born in Reading, started watching MY team when i was 5 years old (1965) we were shite but I loved my team, my parents moved me to Australia where I scrambled to get any information about RFC, my grandmother was close friends with Alan Sedunary's parents and Fred May (look the links up if you are unsure) I got news via them = pre-internet, every time I came back I attended ALL games, I flew back for the last championship game V QPR when we got promoted to the Prem, it cost me $500 australian to get tickets (not to mention the airfare), I've stayed up late into the night listening and watching (where feeds were possible) to games - I will be Reading until I die, a short while ago I moved back and I will tell you this, next season I will make every effort to travel the 200 miles (as I now live up north) to attend games and even if we fall to the Blue square premier league I WILL SUPPORT READING, Now if you can't do that then you are not a real fan.

Finch Will you cintinue to spend your hard earned money on watching Reading every week.

For most of you you are essentially waiting for this moment that an investor comes in to 'take Reading to the next level' (whatever that may be). If they overload you with debt without funding transfers in a couple of years time, and you start plummeting, will you continue to 'chase the dream'?

Depends on the ticket prices to be honest.

For many the dream was the premiership, they lived the dream and then fcuked off when we were relegated.

Finch ... an investor comes in to 'take Reading to the next level' (whatever that may be)...

Prize for the most idiotic parenthetical remark in hob nob history.

I'm with Friday fan. Moved to Reading in 1969 at the age of six. Saw RFC relegated the the Fourth at the end of my second season. Been in love ever since. I'll follow Reading whoever is in charge and wherever they are - buy success, sell success, muck along, any division, I'm in it for life. That probably describes the majority of people on here, and when people like Finch, Kes and TMD come fishing most of us just find them pretty sad.

I would expect Reading fans to still attend games if the Russians don't bring success. What I expect is Reading fans to NOT attend game if they DO bring success.

Remember how much you hate teams who buy success......................

The issue people take is with Leicester City fantasy football trying to buy the league by getting in a bunch of overrated expensive mercenaries on ridiculous unsustainable wages, not effective spending.

We'll see what happens here, but the club have said plenty of times in the last three days that just because we have new backers it doesn't mean we are going to do anything risky with it.

Kes's content is already skint and repeated, so im not sure its possible to be a poorer version of that.

That you hate clubs that BUY success, so if Reading go spending big on players, I expect you to go and support another team like Reading Town.

There is no suggestion that RFC intend to spend big, should the club go out and spend £20mill this month then there will be a lot of disappointed nobbers I would guess.

It's not the Reading way. I would be very surprised if we spend more than 1/4 of that before the seasons out.
