I agree with Cayenne Matt.

But he's way younger than Roberts.

He's also not tweeted about joining us yet which kind of suggests he doesn't really give a shit. Mercenary.

Yeh, was thinking this. Seems like he's embarrassed, trying to hide us from his 80,000 followers.

Well if he fits the same mould as Roberts then all is good surely. We moan when we don't react or pre plan for an eventuality and moan when we do. Imagine if we blew our chances by relying on our prolific goalscorers we currently have. Yep, we are starting to score across the team but Tuesday showed we can get caught by spreading the team too thinly. I feel he will be an interesting addition and open up the options.

Excited about this one, sounds like he's got huge potential and already a fair bit of ability. Hopefully this isn't to cover Roberts injury though :/

As for demotivating Church and ALF well if they were good enough on the pitch and in training they'd be playing. You can't afford to be overly sentimental when you've got 8 cup finals and the chance of a £100m windfall. If anything this should inspire them to train even harder and prove they're worth a place in the 16.

Arsenal fans rate him and say he's far too good for their reserves

Sounds promising

My Huddersfield supporting mate at work suggests he's less of a target man, more of the kind of player who can run onto through balls etc. Says he looked v handy, but often lacked confidence in front of goal. Also only played 90 mins since having 8 months off injured or something like that.

Reading and Mcd are normally very reliable with their signings. Not bothered about age, this guy must be ready for first team action otherwise we would have gone with more experience!!

All roads point to how BMc has realised what some fans have thought for a while. Church didn't have the fight in him when we were chasing playoffs - let alone chasing an automatic spot. I don't know if his all round game is up to it. Queue Church goers.

Young. Hungry. Out to prove a point. Afobe will provide good competition for the run-in. Happy with this.

All Gooner fans who i have spoken to who actually know something about football rate him highly! Glad we signed him, much more hope with him than Charlotte Church leading the line!

With Noel Hunt's injury record this was a good move IMO

Good Post

Thinking ahead for the Prem (if we make it this year) it looks more and more likely
that McD doesn't see Church as good enough, and he doesn't look overly enamoured
with Alfie either (but maybe OK as 4th striker)

So perhaps he's biting the bullet now, figuring it's worth p-ssing off a few who aren't
quite good enough as back up in the Prem, or for winning the Championship next
season if we stay down this.

RockheadRumple Don't really want to sign him to be honest. What's it gonna do for the confidence of Church/LeFondre? I would rather we played Karl Sheppard.

Church can't really get any worse so I couldn't care less. He's not good enough. Had more than long enough to prove otherwise and will go in the summer.

A West Ham style signing.

Mind games.

Binfield Royal does this suggest Roberts injury is worse than they are telling us?

His scan is today. Also we were already looking at Afobe before Roberts got knobbled.
