jazz
M Brook Curo scored today - Roberts didn't!

OK MB  , but I'd still prefer Roberts in our side. BTW where is JC?

Yeah, great player. I was amazed at his work rate and running considering how recent his injury was. Very VERY good signing.

Used to always rate JR when he was at wigan, never thought he would have the legs for Reading at his age.

Fast becoming a legend, must be one of the sharpest 34yo's around.

He's become a bit of a Reading legend already. Such a great player and he seems to lift the rest of the team when he plays.

DandyRoyal What a wise old pro Roberts is.

Booked early on but kept his cool throughout despite the attentions of the brutish Faye. What a battle that was.

First game back from an injury, managed his running throughout very well. I think without the injuries to Karacan/Tabb he would have been subbed for Afobe after 70-75 mins. He wasn't afforded that luxury and was a great outlet right till the end.

Did he stop smiling once?

A very good point. Agree.

He and the rest of the squad seem to be really enjoying playing at the moment.

This is my favourite squad since our 05/06 team.

Agree and probably the best compliment any of us can pay right now.

He was grinning ear to ear all game- and that's the difference between us and West Ham. Our guys play like they are enjoying it, when you look at Faye, whom Roberts had a few tussles with, he has a face like a somebody shat in his daffodils. For me that sums up the whole afternoon.

I'm looking forward to Leeds' defence trying to handle Roberts. And Leeds have to come for a win as well, so they'll be nice and open and not all behind the ball.

I think I criticised his signing at the time, but am happy to admit unlike any other signing I can ever remember - and I mean ever - he certainly has seemed to gell the team and it's mentally together even stronger than it was before.

Obvious to all he is a great guy, motivator and team player. Esteemed signing.

Was about to post something along these lines (apart from the short-sighted criticism  ). If he's up for it he would make an extremely valuable coach for someone in a couple of years; can't remember any player bringing a team together like he has - although the excessive drinking may have dulled my memory.

How did he end up at Reading?
How did they sell him for £7m?

Patronising twat.

tbf Ian they're both well past their sell-by date and frequently come up with bullshit such as you highlight - who cares which one is which?

At least Motty isn't a smug twat and does do research.
