Gary Neville is the only pundit who knows all teams pretty much inside out and has a great knowledge about the game, whereas people like lawro are clueless, i have not seen one prediction where he doesn't say that we lack quality, he contradicts himself all the time, shearer and hansen aren't much better

We do lack quality.

But what we do lack in quality - we make for in hard work. Well normally. It seems to be coming back anyway.

totally agree, but he just seems to say same thing over and over again, sign of a poor pundit.

I can't stand Lawrenson and think he's clueless, but he was reasonably amusing this morning under the circumstances. The most galling thing this season is that we've been proving his ill-considered and ill-researched predictions of doom for us spot on.

He looks like he's had a stroke or something. His face gets saggier and uglier each time I see him.

AirRaidSiren I don't get the anti-Lawrenson remarks. He's a wind up merchant and witty at that. I like him as a pundit and he's proven us wrong so far, hasn't he? Is that what irritate's?

Let's give him a reason to help change his mind, starting today with a win.

He's not witty, he's an idiot. And he should sort the hair out.

"He's not witty, he's an idiot."

According to you. Each to their own and all that

......and he was right about us yet again, he also predicted a 1-0 win by us. Stop being so gullible

That he's getting paid a lot for it, yes. Otherwise no.

Can't believe this turned into a slag off the pundits fest.

Even Brian agreed Lawro had called it right so far.

Anyway - Anton came over really well, genuinely interested and sincere about earlier decisions to stand by the current squad so far as possible and willing to spend in January, and clearly involved with Brian and Nicky in discussing the possibilities on the pitch as well as in the squad. He seems to be free of any delusions and enjoying the learning experience as much as anyone else.

LOL at the presenter getting Brian's name wrong at the end of the interview, and then, when Brian corrected him, managed to ignore it and walk away. Truly professional presenting mate!!!

SCIAG The problem with Lawro isn't that he doesn't rate us, it's that he constantly talks rubbish.

As an example, he spent most of the season saying we looked solid enough but would lack goals.

He also doesn't have the tactical knowledge or the knowledge of the laws of the game that Shearer and Hansen have, and none of the three have much knowledge of players (as evidenced by none of them having heard of Hamsik).

Exactly.

He adds nothing big or clever by stating the bleeding obvious that a team at the bottom of the table are not good enough.

No mention of Karacan and Kebe being out possibly being the reason were struggling. no mention of Feds losing confidence. If Feds was at the top of his game and kebe and Karacan were in, things might've been quite different at the moment. There's nothing clever about what he says.

And we proved him wrong by humiliating west ham once again.
