R in Peace

by CrusoeR » 18 Feb 2013 20:36

So, I have just come to say that I really admire Reading at the moment.

This point of view does not make me very popular amongst my fellow QPR fans, but every time I have tuned in this season hoping to see you lot lose, within a few minutes you have scored, and I have ended up wanting you to win.

I really envy you the team spirit and, of course, the run you have been on, you lot are a credit to the Premiership. Clearly we're most likely already down and goodness knows if we'll ever come back, but despite that, I hope that you lot survive and continue to do well.

Good luck tonight against MUFC as well btw.

Well, there we are, I've done my bit to improve relations between the Rs and the Royals.......... you'll always be The Fakes, but I like you. :D

Kind words from a genuine fan. Its not going to change my mind of wanting the ridiculous circus your club have become going down, but it does make me feel a tad sorry for fans like yourself who may not have wanted all the money and pirates at your club. That being said, I bet you werent as disastified when the money won you the league a couple of years ago, or signed all those "high profile" players over the summer.

Interesting to hear from a Rangers fan. Really feel sorry for you lot.
QPR are run in entirely the opposite way to Reading, and I think Reading are showing you don't need to overspend to at least compete in the PL

Glad to see an R who can see there's more to a successful team than spunking millions on individual talent and that team ethic comes into it. We'll probably play you next year, but I'll never like QPR, I'm afraid. And I hope that your ludicrous business plan leads to its inevitable conclusion, albeit you then learn from it and don't do a full Pompey.

Well, let's put it this way, there are quite a few sensible Rs fans around who know that precisely what we need is to be run sensibly and with a long term plan in mind.

I think there has been a lot of talk about how we won the Championship - got some of that from a Swans fan I was talking to in Swansea the other Saturday. I think the record will show that Warnock's squad wasn't so expensive and that we hardly bought promotion....... since then, of course, we really have made a complete pig's ear of it.

In all honesty we weren't ready for promotion, didn't have the infrastructure in place and had had too much under-investment over 15 years+. Our tragic and - very probably - short-lived return to the Prem should stand as a lesson to all the "smaller" clubs about how not to do it. Whether we'll end up in deep trouble upon relegation is another matter - the owners seem committed to a long term rebuild....... we'll see.

Anyway, quite genuinely have become a grudging admirer of the Royals....... still crazily hoping that we'll put a Reading-style run on........ and knowing we won't.

What a nice fella. Shame about your team. Hope you get relegated, and go bust. Best wishes.

My grandfather was a life long Rangers supporter and I can never bring myself to hate them.

Colin's huge capicity for making an arse of himself results in many refusing to give a very good manager the credit he deserves.....................and he deserved lots for getting QPR promoted. The manner in which he was subsequently dumped says everything about those who run the club these days.

I don't like the lack of leg room at the stadium.

what a wonderful chap

tbf i h8 everything your club currently stands for, and hope you go down. it would be gr8 to show everyone whats really important in a team isnt the combined price tag, or how many new players you buy in a season but hard work, passion, and team work.

that said, i still think its possible QPR can get out of it, and very possible we will also go down.

and if you do go down, in the middle of my LOlathon, ill spare a thought for the single nice rangers fan who started this thread

Even Tredder's left the board in droves.

BTW: I've just had to delete a post that says exactly that. Damn you Brenders!
