Trevor Morley shaping to but not jumping for a cross in the hope of winning a penalty when his marker clatters through him from behind.

A trick reprised to no effect by Nicky Shorey at Eastlands this season.

- Ady Williams pre-match message
- Nicky Forster skinning everyone
- Graeme Murty being the best skipper ever
- James Harper always last out onto the pitch
- Anthony Rougier's insane ball trickery

James Harper and his trimmed shin pads/low socks combo.
Graeme Murty and his tilt-head raised hands clap to the crowd after every game.

Dean Horrix holding the ball for an opponent to take, only to drop it as about to be taken. The ball lands on his foot and shoots away.

10539.4 Miles Away And of course Shaka's 'AWAAAAAAAYYYYYYY'

Can't remember Shaka doing that but do remember Simon Sheppard screaming it in sheer terror everytime the opposition crossed the halfway. Shaka's real signature was signalling the score when the fans asked him what it was and his stay calm signal to the defenders when he caught the ball.

Was beginning to really doubt my memory there but fortunately found this to back me up!

Jennings of Caversham

"Shaka, I am a Reading supporter and have to say that quite possibly you were our greatest ever keeper. .... Anyway, the question I have for you is this, what was the secret behind you shouting 'away' at every corner'?"

Shaka (3:59 PM)

Jennings, all I can say is to be that consitent with my shouts of "away" took years of practice! Hahaha!! Thanks for the nice comments tho...

Shaka has to be one of the nicest people ever to play for the club. Ark Royal and I had a great chat with him at a cricket match after the play off final defeat. Top bloke all round. Kevin Bremner was also one who was incredibly approachable and down to earth. How times change.

You are going to have to narrow that match down a bit.

At the Minor Counties v West Indies match at Reading CC?

He must have been sick of drunken loyal Royals coming up to him during that.

Ah you see I was too young to stand behind the goal at that time. At least Shaka shouted it at corner's unlike Shepp.

Dave Kitson chasing down goalkeepers and always attempting heroic last ditch slide tackles at them. I loved them.

Maguire Nicky Shorey shaping to play a ball down the line only to cut in on his left foot, leaving the oppo jumping into thin air.

Often followed by carrying the ball forward ten yards and flicking it out to the wing with the outside of his left boot.
