So we now have some information that seems to confirm that all is not well with Anton, although its not crrtain. But surprise surprise, with SJM involved the situation is reasonably under control and whilst its holding us back a bit, it seems we're far from oxf*rd and it's nothing like the disaster many wanted it to be and many clubs expedience

ZacNaloen I expressed this to jon Keen on twitter yesterday (before this all broke), but my feeling with Oman is that we are still building on the youth network we've been developing and that has been a red herring in the take over stakes.

We'll know very soon.

The US bid seems a lot more ''out in the open' than the Omani deal.

Whether that is a ploy to have one play their hand quicker than before.

However, we will only be able to have 'loans' again until the F&PP tests are completed and that will take weeks!

Who's to say that after the last debacle it isn't already under way?

The club will have done its own limited checks

But it seems that the league's process doesn't begin until an offer has been 'accepted'

Part of the test is to see if they can pay what they promise

You mean loan players? Don't think that's correct, Roberts was signed using cash from TSI long before the FA finally agreed to the takeover going ahead...

I meant loans like we used for Roberts

But if they can't sort the paperwork out, it'll be the other

No change from the status quo then, almost everything SJM put into the club over the years was in the form of Chairmans loans, albeit at almost negligible interest rates.....

3points SJM needed to sell a stake to fund some of his other business operations. He is now relaxed about what is happening as his immediate cash flow problems were resolved by AZ's cash. AZ is complete history and won't be seen at RFC again - apparently his dad gave him the money for the first tranche and AZ said he could raise the cash to fund the rest. He hasn't been able to do this. As already stated AZ is drumming up buyers - there are three un-named interested parties and SJM is biding his time. However, if a deal isn't imminent come January then we will see a number of higher earning players being sold, and the likes of Baird and Sharp will leave as well. We could have a lot more young players being blooded in the second half of the season.

The new "bid" is presumably one of the three I mentioned a couple of months ago. I wasn't told who the interested parties were back then but we might see another party come forward in addition to the Omanis. My view - this is creating a bit of competitive tension to improve the terms and conditions for AZ and SJM.

US interest in RFC allegedly Steve Ross headed cons'm, owner of Miami Dolphins, worth $4 billion. Omani interest Shk Kalifa. Omani's in advanced talks, Americans in the same boat. Straight fight, Chris Samuelson has a decision to make on who to sell TSI to.

No decision to be made. Whoever offers most will get it.

Agree with that, and that is supposed to be the Omani's. We'll know for certain soon enough. The competition will only accelerate the deal.

might as well be a toss up between Jonathon Ross and Kalifa Cisse right now as far as the end result will probably end up playing out

Who would you guys rather given the little information we know?

Omani guy may pump money in for fun, could also turn out like Zinga
Yank has previous experience in the sporting world, $4 billion worth is not to be sniffed at either

I'd probably say get the Yank's in, however my opinion might change depending on what we hear in the coming week or so
