RoyalBlue Dellor has just tweeted to say that Clark Hunt ruled himself out this PM!

That's because, as mentioned already, it was a wind-up that went viral. The wiki mods removed the edit twice! It's so easy to get a rumour going today. In ten minutes you can pluck a billionaire Omani/American, post it up on the rumours forum, mention it with friends in on it on Twitter, and change and quote the wiki.. by tonight it will be everywhere.

I realise that. My point was rather than admit that he had done some very bad internet research (leading to him initially suggesting that the buyer was Hunt) and that Hunt was never in the running, Dellor implies that he might have been but has since ruled himself out!

Proof that standards of journalism at the BBC are dropping!

Barry the bird boggler Saw a rumour on the Forest board that Jack was due to talk personal terms with RFC today or tomorrow. Of course if that's true it might just be out of courtesy given his previous with Adkins....

According to @maffff (pretty sure it was him) he has indeed had talks today, and @west4street (reliable guy) said this morning he was told Forest have pulled out. Sounds promising!
I know through a friend at the hotel that there's a big meeting planned tomorrow. Take that with a pinch of salt, but it may be the take-over, may be a player announcement, or nothing at all.

The room booked is take-over related, but not clear if that means anything we'll be privy to.

I thought someone ITK on here said the manager and players were told of takeover before the game on Saturday? What a load of old rubbish!

Because it's not Clark Hunt doesn't mean they were not told of a confirmed take over.

Yes they were. Are you getting impatient because the club isn't ready to go public yet? We'll know when we know. Money is available and we're looking at players, why worry or doubt for the sake of it?

Yes but surely the news would be out by now if manager and players already know?

I'd have thought it would be fairly obvious to most that after the last fiasco the club will be doing their due diligence before making anything official. They've planted a few timely leaks, and will no doubt be making moves in the market, to keep the fans reasonably informed, but they don't want any potential for eggs on face.

We're you like this when TSI came on board and it took 5 months to get them through the FAPPT? I bet that drove you mad? Sent you a PM.

Sparta also said it and reckoned he'd said it before bloke on twitter. If due diligence not done yet why bother telling manager and players? It might not come off yet so why bother the players with stuff?

No. You are right. It is just one item of evidence. There are, however, plenty of others to be observed, together with a shocking grasp of English grammar.

I was wary of TSI from the start and more concerned when stage 2 date came and went!

It's not unusual for players and staff to know before the general public what is happening within the club. The club by the sounds of it are just going through the motions. They may announce it tomorrow, they may announce it at the end of the month. Who knows, but it's looking promising. The signs are there. Via Adkins, the players or on Twitter.

I think we'll all be wary this time. Sadly we'll never know what state we're in until it goes wrong, so all we can do is run with it. That's where we are now. Take these chances and maybe get some success with it, or don't take them and drop down the divisions through lack of investment. I assume we want the former, but it's not without its risks.
