Acquiring/developing players is such an unpredictable thing. Few, if any, clubs get it right every time regardless of how much cash they flash.
Coppel's track record ain't bad, when you consider the names above, but even he signed some turkeys, and with that in mind, I suspect he expected Akpan to make a bigger impact here than he has. In terms of the "polishing rough diamonds" Reading way, I reckon that we will make a decent profit on Morrison.

Gylfi was a product of our academy, so I'm not sure we can really count that as a 'signing'.
