What does it mean to 'have a deal lined up' ?

Have the made us an offer and we are thinking about it ?

Is someone at Cardiff sitting there with an offer but hasn't got round to sending it to us ?

It seems a bit odd, anyone who has seen him play recently probably won't have been massively impressed but I can see us looking to bring in a ball playing centre back so for £5 million plus we might be prepared to let them come and beg.

Isaac Hunt I think if Cardiff were still in the division above, this could happen. Less likely as they're not.

What, like Alf?

Oh......................

Wouldn't be particularly upset if he left now Ferdinand has come in. Be a shame though, but we'd presumably get decent money for him and I'm more keen on Pearce and Hector as a partnership to develop.
Quite happy that this is probably nonsense too.

Are you going to make Pearce walk the plank?

What? Did someone go "Boo! You're relegated!" like a game of tag?!

Sutekh "According to Sky Sports" means, look what we've just hauled off some plebeian rumour site somewhere so we've got a bit more filler for the text bar at the bottom of the screen.

So you're saying SSN's source is HNA?

No, but there is a difference between when the deal was agreed and when it became fact. As I understand it the deal was agreed back in January. If we hadn't 't managed to find funds he'd have been gone in that window with predictable uproar from fans and disruption to the team.

If Cardiff are silly enough to bid £2m+ for Morrison then we should be offering to drive him there. He's a decent centre back but the fact in a year he's gone from being McAnuff's stand-in as captain to not even being considered for the captaincy says a lot.

Ferdinand (presuming he's a signing that Adkins wanted and can get fit) > Pearce > Hector > Morrison

Ole also confirmed last night that Cardiff are looking to bring in a defender. So maybe.... he's leaving :(

SSN saying he's having a medical.... I stand corrected. Seems strange to me. Adkins obviously doesn't rate him.

Suspect it's more about the right mix of players.

If he goes then presumably Hector goes to cb and Guthrie starts on Saturday. Leaves us lacking any kind of taclkling in midfield. Perhaps someone is on the way in.....

Ferdinand is nowhere near fit for a start. I'd be a bit rattLOLed if he left to go to Cardiff, tbh.

Perhaps he wasn't considered for the captaincy because Adkins wanted rid? Or knew he might have to sell him.
