He is nearly 31 and only had one season above League 1 level where he scored a lot of goals. He is clearly not PL standard and is a short term addition for us and so if we offer more than a 2 year contract it would be certifiably insane and even that would be stretching it. After a season of barely playing in the PL he could turn out to be yet another Drenthe.

I know he is not a striker but I would rather we had kept McAnuff and they are similar age.

Personally I would rather we buy an up and coming lower league striker or if we cannot find one - that we just persevere with our Academy players.

Pepe the Horseman Seriously though. Who?

David Carico? He was a winger IIRC. He was on loan here when Rogers was manager but he was always injured. Think he went on to play for Porto or some other Italian team and won the Champions League.

Y'know who we really need? Dave Mooney. Reckon he could've been useful in a time like this.

Ah, gotcha. I only started supporting Reading when Bill McDavidson got us to the Premiership.

J.H.C defensive midfielder, signed by McDonut in the January window when we were in the premier league, started next game, came off at half time, played for 10 minutes 3 months later against Liverpool, got loaned to Sevilla where they got to the final of the Europa League (someone remind me if they won it) and then got sold to Sevilla. Three oxf*rd months ago.

No need for the rolly eyes mate, I don't know much about the other European leagues.

J.H.C captained Israel, but argued with the powers that be, and was crucified for it.

Really hope this happens but I reckon the tweet is BS. Someone would have spotted GM @ the Mad Stad by now surely?
