Can we win the League with this team as it is now

by Reading4eva » 12 Aug 2015 22:43

I'm confident. Hurtado fantastic signing, Fernandez and Chalobah also coming, Quinn is a top quality midfielder, Ferdinand like a new man, Sa will come good and this is added to the team who got us to a Wembley Semi vs Arsenal and pushed them all the way.

Clarke is magic absolute magic

So that's added to the team that got to the F A Cup semi final? Is that before or ofter you've subtracted the 5 players from that semi final team who are no longer at the club?

No we are not good enough to win the league. Sa may prove to be a consistant goalscorer but even if he is, we're still thin up front and I don't see a lot of goals in our midfield. We will be hard to beat and i can see the nucleus of a very decent squad forming but not this year whilst we still have high earners hanging about, not justifying their wage.

Short answer - not in a parallel universe!!!

If we finish 12th this season I shall be over the moon!

Looking back and no team has ever won the league after losing their first game at this level. Let alone going up.

There is one obvious element missing from this team, without which we have no chance of winning the league.

We must find Michael Dobson.......

If your asking if we can win the league with the team as it is now you shouldn't include two players who are not at the club now

I don't think the team is yet strong enough to win the league, but neither was our last team to win the league a this stage of the season.
