Forbury Lion
Lower West Positions mean nothing if you are not relegated or promoted.

I disagree, where you finish one season can have a massive impact on decisions made at the club and expectations for the following season.

3rd losing the playoffs > 21st and safe from relegation.

Football isn't a one season thing where you start each season with a clean slate, you are always building on the season before.

Once safe. Then managers can experiment and also blood players. Noticeable how loan players played less and less as last season drew to a close. The plan being to look forward to this season.

On that performance tonight I'd say 18-19th and it's heartbreaking to see our club like this upsets me a lot

Good thing a season isn't based on 1 game or I would have based last season on our 5-1 win over Ipswich.

We'll be ok. This squad is a work in progress who I think will improve as the season develops. We do however need a new defender, left back and a striker if not two strikers to make us competitive. If we can bring those players in I feel confident we'll be around 12th come the end of the season. Anything 16th or above would be acceptable.

Lads n lassies it's far too early to tell.
If nothing else we've got to give it time painful as it may be at the moment.

I was spitting feathers last night but time heals all wounds.

Players are still bedding in and it will develop. What worries me personally is staam's lack of management experience
Specifically what appears to be his insistence on possession football from the back. I don't care about fancy triangles and tikka tekka stuff if a lump up the pitch and a knock down results in a goal.
The championship as we know, is effectively the Bermuda Triangle of footie...it's madness and nobody really knows who will beat anybody on a given day. Managers need to appreciate and understand that, and the better ones have experience of this level. Staam doesn't, but I'm confident we'll pull it together and finish mid table. I've seen enough flashes of quality to suggest we'll be safe *

We will be 2nd bottom in the league

We will also be so shit we will resemble a second anus

Our imcompetant and buffoonish performances will pay homage to Shakespeare's comedy character from midsummer night's dream.

I don't think we'll be anywhere near a relegation scrap, after the optimism of the first 2 games I suggested our away games would give a better read of how we will fare this season and we well and truly failed that test. So for me we're looking at hovering around mid-table, hopefully after the team have had longer to play together bearing in mind the amount of new signings we have made and Stam has adjusted to Championship football, hopefully we can click and start to perform better, especially away from home.
