JS Said that Moore had cramp in his hammy. Althought it looked like he was holding his groin to me :?

Sutekh Moore - Possibility may have tweaked something in his groin, hopefully will know more today

Just tweeted about preparing for Saturday so hopefully that means he's alright.

Sutekh Well after last night's mess...

Rakels - Ankle injury, going to be x-rayed. Looks serious
Cooper - Left the ground on crutches last night apparently so has a leg injury. Awaiting diagnosis
Kelly - Cut over nose and eye, suspected concussion
Moore - Possibility may have tweaked something in his groin, hopefully will know more today

Didn't Watson go down too or was that just cramp?

Think it was just cramp. He was certainly stretching his legs out like it was.

Cooper will miss the game at Cardiff but I haven't seen any actual diagnosis on his problem other than it is a leg injury

Rakels has a suspected broken ankle so is likely to be out for some time however the diagnosis is not yet confirmed as the swelling is delaying a full x-ray

Kelly is expected to be fit enough to return on Saturday of required

Moore was suffering from cramp should should be ok to debut at Cardiff if selected

Apparently Rakkels is definitely a break so will be out until Feb. Might be an idea for the team to try and sign a striker before the deadline closes.

I believe I'm correct when I say that the last time Reading signed a striker who went on to score at least 15 goals in a season for us, was 11 years ago when we signed Lita, Doyle and Long in the summer of 2005.

Since then we've signed Noel Hunt, Mooney, Baseya, Brett Williams, Roberts, Le Fondre, Pogrebnyak, Yakubu, Appiah, Vydra, Rakels, Kermorgant, Murray, Cox, Mendes, Cardwell and Novakovich.

Depressing eh?

That is quite depressing Ian especially as prior to 2005 we had Kitson, Forster, Cureton, Butler et al.

We've done alright though, seeing as there has been a play-off final, a promotion, missing out on on the play-offs on the last day of the season, 3(?) FA Cup 1/4 finals, FA Cup Semi-Final...

Confusing !
Not sure how you can include short term loans, brand new players and kids in that list, especially if the list is incomplete (no Liburd for example)

Yes, and look at how many 'just missed out' there are in that list. A decent striker or two might well have led to some of those being turned into proper successes.

Proper success is over-rated.

Its the near misses that keep you coming back for more.

Swift has a hamstring problem and is a doubt for the game v Ipswich. He returned to the club from the England u23 squad for treatment.

Meitei has an ankle problem and is currently wearing a protective boot. The problem is not thought to be serious but he is likely to miss 2 weeks

I know it's not relevant to us but thought i'd mention that Anton Ferdinand pulled up after 22 minutes on his Southend debut yesterday!

You think we would've won the FA Cup 4 times if we had a proper striker?

RB also ignoring the fact he always calls for ensuring quality by spending big when the list includes names who cost big in fees and / or wages.

Swift is now reported to have fully recovered from his injury and no reports of anything untoward for those on international duty, which I think leaves just Rakels, Meite and Cooper as the current "1st team" crocks
